Bride Processional Selections... Something meaningful!

Okay ladies, I've been reading through the suggestions for processional songs here. It seems there are great songs for offbeat brides, and country brides, the rockstar brides, the brides who prefer the oldies...etc. But, I want a relatively current, but very meaningful song. Preferably, if I'm being honest here, I would like there to be not one single dry eye in the group! Okay, maybe that's pushing it, but I do want something moving and sentimental, not something funny or quirky. I like songs like "A Thousand Years", "The Prayer" (Josh Groban/Celine Dion), "To Make You Feel My Love", "Marry Me" (Train)...etc. Just looking for more suggestions.

  • Im having the same problem. I want tears! lol but I want modern and im also getting married in a church so im all confused. The hardest part is tying a BP processional into Bridal...they have to be same style right? Anyways to answer your question I like BLessed by Chirsitina! I know its a little older but its still this generation
  • Tyler Lyle "Winemaker's Love Song"
    Bahamas "Already Yours"

  • No, they don't need to be the same style.  Any good dj/venue should be able to blend them together at just the right times.  I am having a mix of instrumental, modern pop and country for mine.  The venue has mixed them perfectly!

  • Brian McKnight's still in love. I'm going to walk down to the instrumental version.
    "Still In Love"

    [verse]
I think I must be dreaming
That you are here with me
Must have died and gone to heaven
And it's all that I hoped it would be

    [chorus]
When the eagles forget how to fly
When it's twenty below in July
    And when violets turn red
    And roses turn blue
I'll be still in love with you

    [verse]
I live to be around you
    You take my breath away
Can't help but talk about you
    Every night and day

    [chorus]
When eagles forget how to fly
And it's twenty below in July
    And when violets turn red
    And roses turn blue
I'll be still in love with you

    [bridge]
    All I need is you
Need you just to hold me, console me
    Over and over.......I love you

    [chorus]
When the eagles forget how to fly
And it's twenty below in July
    And when violets turn red
    And roses turn blue
I'll be still in love with you
    Still in love with you
  • im walking down to here and now played on the sax

  • On my DJ's site, he writes the playlist for every wedding and "Marry Me" by Train is by far the most popular choice. Here are some others:

    • Can't Help Falling In Love - Michael Buble
    • Stable Song - Gregory Alan Isakov
    • Ho Hey - The Lumineers
    • Then or She's Everything - Brad Paisley
    • Mean to Me - Brett Eldredge

If you want music with no lyrics, the Piano Tribute Players and Vitamin String Quartet do beautiful song covers!
  • Michael Buble "Everything"
  • I like "Collide" by Howie Day. The instrumental version is nice, it sort of reminds me how our two lives are "colliding" into one life together from that moment on.
  • What about All of Me by John Legend?
