  Late to the party, but... if DH ruined his own damn present for himself, I wouldn't be stressing out this much (read: at all) about finding him a new one. No fool, you ruined the surprise but that's still your present. You're done. Act surprised.

  
  

  And no, "Bud Heavy" is not a non-light beer. It's just 2 steps away from water rather than one step for Bud Light. And Bud and Yuengling are both super far taste-wise from what you'd find if you got him a truly craft beer. 

  
  

  I think the best bet (besides telling him sorrynotsorry he wrecked his present) is either going to the beer store and saying "he likes Yuengling; give me something similar but better" or going to a brewery, drinking a flight, and buying a growler of whichever he likes best.

  Eh, I wasn't really stressing over it to start off with, haha. I just didn't realize it was quite as large an undertaking as it has become. I kind of figured, "Oh, he likes Yuengling, some of the Knotties like fancy beer, they can tell me fancy Yuengling-like things!" and then I proceeded to commit that and further crimes against beerology.
