My BFF and I went to Central Perk last night, and it was so awesome! We took so many pics (I attached a few below. I'm the short one), and it really made us nostalgic for Friends. The couch was the actual couch from the show and we were so excited that we got to sit on it like the rest of the cast did! We had a lot of fun and took tons of pics. They had iconic outfits that each member of the cast wore on display (including the infamous leather pants) which was pretty cool.

My annoying coworker is back in the office. She is really bitchy and negative. I mean this girl complains about everything, it is so ridiculous. When I first started this position last year, I think she resented me. She was supposed to train me and refused to do so. Since she trained my then manager (who started the week before I did), he tried his best to help me, but I pretty much had to do everything on my own. In the end it worked out better for me, because I was able  to prove myself, and upper management saw how she treated me. I know she is on their radar. I just hate when she's in the office, I feel like she reeks of negativity. And she sits next to me so it's not like it's easy to ignore her loud ass.

So what's going on with everyone this Thursday? I'm pretty bored now. I just want to get through the day and finally get back to the gym and back to my routine :)

  • I'm in Connecticut right now. Hoping to make PA by noon.

    I'm the fuck

  • I get off in less than 2 hours! I have so much comp time built up from the past few weeks that I have left early 2 days already, leaving early today, and am off tomorrow. And I will still have time to make up.

Whenever I  get home today I am deep cleaning our house. We have a OOT friend staying with us for FI's sister's wedding this weekend. Our house isn't super messy but enough to make me anxious.

Then mani's and pedi's with the bride tonight. Errands and decoratingn all day tomorrow!

Your weekend sounds funnnn! I'm so jealous of your comp time right now lol. I could seriously use some days off.

@beethery, what's in PA? Something fun I hope, and not work related.

I see your countdown, it's getting closer! I'm sure the days will go by really fast for you. Where are you going on your honeymoon?

  • H and I got a new puppy last night! It was very sudden (long story short - someone brought a dog into our office that she couldn't keep and I took him home) but we're so excited. We've been talking about getting a dog and he was too cute and sweet to pass up. He's a little yorkie (mixed with something else, we're not sure) and is only about 6 pounds and 3 to 4 months old. He was a rescue and the woman who had him didn't want to take him back before trying to find him a better home (her dog wouldn't stop attacking him).

I'll post pictures later but he's just the cutest thing ever. H wanted to name him after a Buffalo Bills player (die hard fan) so his name is Fred Jackson. Today is going to be the longest day ever because I just want to get home and snuggle with him all night.

  • I'm trying to get as many wedding related things done today as possible. I finally slept a regular sleep (first time in probably 5 weeks) so I am really happy today plus I am full of energy.

9 days until the wedding, so there's quite a few things I still have to finish up. I also have to clean the house today since we're having company this weekend (It's Thanksgiving in Canada) which I really wish we didn't do since it will be a week before the wedding and I don't have the patience, money, or time for it.

Fun but stressful! We have a lot to do before the wedding Saturday but I love this kind of thing and offered to help plan her wedding if she needed.

Sometimes I wish I actually got paid for my over time but other times it is nice to let my comp time add up and take a day off without using my sick/vacation hours.

i'm very jealous y'all went to Central Perk!

  • We booked our final venue visit.  I just wanna pay everyone!  I'm getting jittery (might be the coffee) but it's all coming together now.

I can't focus on daily tasks.  I'm all over the place!

Central Perk sounded like a lot of fun!  It's kind of surreal to see stuff on TV in real life.

I LOVE Friends!! I've considered going but dreading the lines. A friend went the 2nd day and it took her hours. How bad was the line when you went? I would really love to go.

We went to our final walk thru on Tuesday night. We hadn't seen our venue since we first booked it so I was really excited. We got our invoice yesterday (for our current estimated amount of people) and I had budget $100 over it! I was so proud of my estimations for damage deposits+linens+tables+chairs, etc. I was a happy girl! lol I can't wait to get these dumb things paid for!

Today it is hardcore raining and we have to walk across campus for a meeting (I work for a university). And I'm still getting over being sick, but overall feel better. I'm tired because many times last night I was woken up by FI groping me in my sleep...he was annoying and didn't know he was doing it lol.

The line was not that bad. It looked a lot worse than what it was. There was a couple at the head of the line, and they told us they waited 20 minutes. We got on line at 5:51 and we were in around 6:20 (ish), so our wait was a little over a half hour.

The Central Perk pics look awesome! I am a big Friends fanatic (when my HS girlfriends and I get together one of our favorite activities is the Friends Trivia game and lots and lots o' wine).

I am looking forward to getting out of work. I am finishing something up for a presentation I have to make on Tuesday, which is stressing me out a bit but at the same time I am happy that I still have some time to look things over beforehand.

Tonight I need to do some heavy-duty food shopping and I am thinking about what to have for dinner... keep finding myself googling "healthy, quick and delicious dinner recipes for 2".

  • Agh that's SO awesome!

Work is just pissing me off. Both of my accounts are giant shit shows right now, and the partner agencies I have to work with are totally incompetent. I hate it, and I want to go back to my old job, but I haven't had time to update my resume. I thought things were supposed to die down after all the busy-ness of the wedding but they haven't, and every spare minute is spent finishing thank you notes and they all HAVE to be out this week or I'm an asshole. Blah.

I'm doing a million things today. Days off are supposed to be relaxing, not crazy stressful. GAH.

I know, right? I hate when days off turn out to be more stressful than actual work days. That has definitely happened to me.

chibiyui, I've never been to one, but my friend goes every year and says it is awesome. How is the food??

lolo883 Ugh I'm sorry. Hopefully once the Thank You cards are out, you can get to working on that resume. I hate updating my resume. I always mean to do it like on a quarterly basis just to keep it fresh, but never do.

  • I have one day off so I'm spending it at the OB/GYN. Yayyy. DH was at first acting all jealous and protective, and then he switched into "you're not going because you're actually pregnant are you?" Haha nooo.

My house has cabinets, doors, stair banister, and metal stair rail bars! We discovered our bottom step is the same fancy wood that the trim and banister is... Which means.. It looks like somebody made a mistake and is giving us a wooden bottom step instead of the standard carpet step. I was like DH shhhh don't say anything! Fingers crossed they don't realize it and just leave it alone and go about their business staining it. I really hope they don't waste that beautiful piece of wood to tear it out to build a plywood step for carpet.

  • I think I'm officially addicted to energy drinks.  I had coffee today and it's just not doing it, I'm all tired and headachy.

I HATE mornings.  Seriously, I've been working here for years, I've been working full time for about a year, I should be used to waking up early by now.  I'm totally not.  I have yet to feel like a fully functioning human being before 11 am without CHUGGING an energy drink.

I kinda want to stop drinking them, but then I'd just go back to chugging 3 whole cups of gross coffee (I'm too broke for the good shit) which always makes me feel sick to my stomach.  At LEAST the energy drinks don't make me wanna puke.

It's 2014, where the fuck is my caffeine patch that keeps me alert as long as I wear it and then wears off the second I take it off?

That is actually my plan for tonight. FI is playing basketball so I was thinking of cuddling up to an old, classic movie. Not sure which one yet, but that's what I'm in the mood for lol.

DH took me to the ER early this morning (like 1 am). The doctor is pretty sure that I have / had an ovarian cyst. This is perhaps the 3rd time this has happened to me, and it freaks me out each time. But yay for Morphine (?)
