  • I'm in your shoes, @LaPeanut1018! We just paid our photographer, DJ/Uplighting, Cake, AND Rest of venue today! Things are finally happening!
  • I get to do my final catering payment any day now! Was supposed to be today, but there was an error on the menu on the final contract, so I'm waiting till they send me a correct one. After that all of the big bills are paid! Just day of appointments, tips, hotel bills, and honeymoon! :)
  • just have one more payment to make, to the florist and then we're all done!  Now I just feel like I want it over with already!!

People keep asking "are you excited??"  And I'm like "Yes totally!" but in my head I'm like "not really, I just want it to be done."
  • Ladies it's almost our wedding week! I checked so many things off my list today.

    Got my hair cut

Picked up welcome bags and then finished assembling them at home (added custom labelled water bottles, locally made chocolate chip cookies, and granola bars)

Continued to do finishing work on our parent gifts

Made the final payment to my hair and makeup salon for day of hair for me and my bridesmaids and the moms

Had my what should have been final fitting but dress needs some minor adjustments so I have a final final fitting on Saturday

    Still left to do;

Have my dress steamed and pressed and then deliver it to my venue

    Final venue meeting Monday

    Get the carpets cleaned (Friday)

    Get the house cleaned (Wednesday)

    Final DJ planning meeting

Deliver extra decor, cocktail napkins, accessories, pictures, and other miscellaneous items to the venue

    Pick up favors next Friday

Go grocery shopping for the guests staying at our house

    Pack for the honeymoon

Pack a bag for the dog while she stays at my parent's house

    Decorate for the rehearsal dinner

    Get my ring cleaned

Write a letter to FI and thank you notes to my parents and bridesmaids

    GET MARRIED!!!!

I finished my veil last night!  Huge weight off my chest - it was stressful because I was making it from materials from my mom's veil, so heirloom stress on top of regular perfectionist stress.

Programs, card box, bathroom baskets, favours, shoes... they're all done.  I also picked up FI's wedding ring and had mine cleaned, so now I'm wearing the little ring he originally gave me when we were first engaged.  Not used to not having the weight of my regular ring!

Basically the only things I have left are a few tissue paper flowers, some wall art I'm making to put up before I leave for the wedding, for my husband (!) to come home to, and to write thank you cards and finish assembling gift baskets for the parents, pastors, and my MOH/BMs.

  • Oh yeah...I need to print escort cards, menus, programs, and a welcome letter for the welcome bags. I keep remembering all these random things! I feel like I can't even keep up anymore!

  • I am meeting with the caterer tonight for the final payment. I have to get my hair cut and colored next wednesday and my nails next week as well. Everything is printed, boxed up and done. I have made a thousand checklists of what not to forget.
