Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Reception Sites

So my husband and I got married right before he left for Kuwait, so we didn't have a big wedding and planned on having one when he got back. Well we were unsure of when exactly that would be, so we put off planning because we didn't want to waste money. Now that we have a date it is quickly approaching and no place to have a reception and can't find anywhere that has availability and is reasonably priced.

Does anyone have ideas? We are looking at like $8,000 tops... I am looking for the Minneapolis/St. Paul area as our ceremony is being held in Minnehaha Park.

How many people are you looking at having?   That will determine a lot.

I highly, highly recommend my reception site...the Profile Event Center. The space is great and totally unique and the event coordinator is absolutely fabulous! The higest their food minimums go is $7,500 for a Saturday night from May to October.

We had ours at Summit Manor for 120 people for under $7,500 including food, open bar, room/manor rental, linens, dishes, and table decorations.

Check with Old Arizona Theater  http://www.oldarizona.com/. They might have some openings. I don't know how soon you are looking at, but its a great space, with a lot of character, but also space to make it unique to you and whatever kind of celebration you want to have..

There is a courtyard that is awesome for the warmer months, but don't have to use it if its cold.

The Eagan Community Center is beautiful and wouldn't be far from Minnehaha Park via 55 to 13 to Pilot Knob Rd.  It would definitely meet your $ requirement, but I know it fills up fast, so not sure if it'd be booked or not.  GL
