  • I liked the book until the end it made me want to throw my kindle.  When I saw the movie, the end didn't nearly bother me as much, although I was hoping for some sort of twist from the book.

  • I think I'm one of the few people who actually LOVED the book - including the ending. There was no other way FOR it to end - the only people Nick & Amy could be with were each other. They were both manipulative and unhealthy - they deserved each other. 

    FI didn't read the book, so at times during the movie, I could see a "what the FUCK" look on his face. He really liked the move as well.  
    I agree! I loved the book and the movie was a faithful adaptation. I re-read the book before I saw the movie last weekend. There was no other way for that book to end that would have been genuine to the author.
    IIRC, Nick is ~5 years younger than Amy, which would put him around 34/35.
