Telling people the ceremony starts an hour and forty-five minutes earlier than it does is the most outrageous thing I've ever heard. I don't expect a ceremony to start on the dot, I expect they may give stragglers a few minutes to pile in, but if it was more than half an hour I would assume someone had gotten cold feet and would leave.
I'm curious to know about the overall sentiment of the ceremony space after that long, did people stay? Were people voicing concerns of a runaway bride or groom?
Re: Don't mess with start times...
I would assume there was either an emergency or the bride or groom backed out.
