  I go on there once in awhile, but I have found the exact same problem, it seems very dead.

  
  

  And the only ones that seem to be decently busy are ones I don't really care for, like Trouble in Paradise. 

  
  

  I wanted to go on the cooking board, but well over half the threads were the same two or three people making a new thread every. single. time. they made a new blog post.  It was so annoying. If someone wants to read your every single blog post, they will add you to an RSS feed or follow your blog.  Make one thread and post updates in that.

  
  

  The last time I checked a couple months ago, it seemed like they had stopped doing that, thank goodness.  But I still don't over there.

  A long time ago, before most of you were engaged, the Nest was a happening place.  Then the Knot/Nest Gods went crazy and brought in a bunch or stuff that everyone hated (don't ask me what, cos I wasn't there, I was only on TK, but I think it was not being allowed to swear, etc.) and everyone bailed to Proboards GBCN (Goodbye Cruel Nest).  TN has never recovered, unlike TK, probably since there's always an influx of new wedding people.  And once everyone sees how dead it is on TN, they move on to other sites, or to become crazy Bumpies.

  I too lurked on TN for a little while. But found it so dead that I came back to TK. I tried looking at multiple boards, but nothing interesting was happening. Here I really only have time for Chit Chat with how busy it is.

  Yep TN has been dead since the incident explained by by WinstonsGirl. I lurked from time to time when I first got on TK, and in those almost three years, TN hasn't been really active.

  The only board I ever go on over at TN is Money Matters. Those women are awesome and incredibly supportive.

  The cooking board used to be incredible.  Many bloggers and professionals.  They decided they needed their own place somewhere else (I don't think that was linked to everyone else leaving) and it was invitation only.

  Yeah - the nest and the knot used to have a lot more movement than they do now, but what can you do...

  I lurk a lot.  Mostly now it's just "Trouble in Paradise" and "Getting Pregnant" that seem moderately active.  I get annoyed with the TIP board because sometimes I feel like Tarpy dissects every single word before moving on.  Multiple times.

  Is the Bump really as crazy as everyone makes it sound?  I'm a good five years away from wanting to have kids so I've never really looked into it, but it'd be good to kno

  Haha I'm from TB. I just started coming on here. The bump is like The Real World, mixed with high school, and raging hormones.Some boards are better than others.

  Nah, The Bump isn't that bad. Well, not all of it. It definitely varies board to board, much more so than The Knot. Some of it is awesome and some of it is absolutely batshit.

  @larrygaga, that story is frustrating.  I think the OP is justified in her feelings.  I think the passing of her father compounds the feelings.  I get the feeling that she felt "kicked when she was down".  But then again, this is also coming from a woman dealing with fertility issues.

  Yeah, that thread was from the Trouble Trying To Conceive board I believe, which, from the little bit I've looked around over there seems VERY sensitive- and I'm not saying that as a criticism, honestly if I were in that position I would want that kind of sensitivity.  Like they put in the title of all their posts if they even mention a child.  That's one of the boards that, though obviously I hope I would never need to post there, I can see the helpfulness of it much more so than boards arguing over if you should give your child fruit snacks.

  Yeah.  I'm actually a part of an NFP group on Facebook.  There are people in that group that are TTA as well as TTC.  The TTC women / women with fertility issues claim they are "marginalized" because the majority of people express frustrations about TTA.  It's quite the drama.  Add hormones to the mix, and it's a jolly good time.

  I was a regular on the Cooking Board for years and it WAS incredible. I "met" some amazing ladies and some of the most popular bloggers that I see today on Pinterest, FB, etc. on that board. I went to the invite only board as well but eventually left because it wasn't quite the same.

  It's funny reading this thread because I am an oldie and was here when they started The Nest and all of the "old marrieds" were like "You want us to go WHERE?" LOL But then a ton of us went as the day came when we finally did get just a wee bit tired of wedding talk. And it was great for quite some time. Oh well.
