Colors? theme?

So i was going with a fall theme for our vow Renewal. But now i want to do something a little different,, any thoughts? Black and red theme ?? Is that too dark?

I was told my navy and red theme was too dark for summer, but I say go for whatever you'd like! In my opinion, fall is a time to bring in the darker tones anyway. Black and red can be extremely elegant or informal, depending on how you spend it. If you are super concerned about the darkness, try adding a bit of orange in it to add to the fall qualities and lighten up the theme.

In other words, plenty of time to change your mind and consider many themes or color schemes. lol

I like black and red though, with touches of white to brighten it up a bit.

The only time I think colors matter is if they are holiday inspired. For example, I would find a red and green and gold color scheme odd in May. Or red, white, and blue odd at Christmastime.
