Cosmopolitan suite / lifts - help needed!

I'm thinking about booking a Wrap Around Terrace suite at the Cosmopolitan for an in-suite reception for around 25 guests. We'll also be staying there for a few nights and some of our guests will be in standard rooms in Cosmo too. I'm just worried about how hard / easy it'll be to get everyone up to the suite on the day! I've never stayed there before so would really appreciate some help from anyone who has! Are there security guards at the lifts? Do you need to show a key card to get in the lifts? Does anyone know if the wraparound suites are on every floor? Are there separate lifts for suites vs standard rooms?

Re: Cosmopolitan suite / lifts - help needed!

  • I am sure you will have no problem getting your guest upstairs. Are you having cocktail hour up there, too? When is your wedding?

  • I stayed in a terrace suite for a week inJuly 2013. There were no security on the lifts. I didn't see separate elevators for suites. I was in the west tower.
  • Last time I was there there was no one checking room keys for the high floor our wraparound was on, but I have seen people sporadically mention they did have security for those floors at times so maybe there is something that triggers it, like a special event or guest, etc..

  • Thanks for the help everyone, that's the answer I was hoping for :)

@jayjaay Our wedding is Oct 2015 (on a Thursday), we're having cocktail hour and the meal in Wynn, then heading to Cosmo about 9pm. Still need to figure out how we're going to do the in-suite drinks though!

Hi! I've seen others talk about going to the store and bringing their items back in a suitcase....

Your plans sound fun. We will be at the Cosmo next week!

  • I think we are just going to order everything from Von's and have it shipped to our suite.
  • Does Vons offer delivery?!  I shop there when I'm in California on business but haven't used them much otherwise, delivery would be awesome.

  • Yea, and I believe your first online delivery order they waive the delivery fee.

There is no Vons where we live, but we looked into where we could get groceries delivered in Vegas, and Vons seems like the main one.  We aren't going to rent a car just to go to the store.
  • You'll be totally fine - Yeah delivery from Vons Perfect! Don't forget the ice! ;-)

  • @sasalew‌ - we are having our reception there as well. My plan re drinks: purchase everything when we get there. Use the bathtubs/refrigerator & the kitchen bar for serving. I've hired a bartender through Sari at Culinary Pros for the evening. Very reasonable I thought.
  • We stayed in a wraparound for 7 nights last October.  We only had a small reception at our hotel but we shopped at Wholefoods and walked multiple bags of groceries up from the carpark.  We had to walk past reception and to get to the elevators for our wing and no body said anything.

vegasbride2015 – I’m on 10/15/15 – excited Thanks @nyvegaslove , sounds like an awesome plan! I haven’t looked at Culinary Pros yet but will check them out. Love the idea of buying our own drinks but then hiring a bartender. I wonder if there’s a way to get the minibar removed from the fridge too…
  • I have read that they'll remove it for a fee of $50 but I've no idea if that's true and it seems very steep!
