    After all the talk about tacos and burrito bowls, I went to Fajita & Ritas where I had a corona-rita and nachos. It was tasty.

    I have a pile of worn clothes like 5 feet high. But I'm working ALL weekend. Oops. The clothes pyramid will live another day.

    FI dumped an entire basket of clothes on the FLOOR while looking for boxers and then LEFT THEM THERE.

    D laid all over them while I was still out. They all have to be re-washed.

    That sounds like me. DH came home one day and there were like 12 pairs of shoes lying on the floor blocking the way to the dresser.

    My husband showed up unexpectedly last night, so that was an awesome surprise. And we have a wedding to go to today. Tomorrow I have to finish grading papers, get all my grades finalized for the quarter, write a quiz, and prepare a novel unit for a book I haven't taught before.
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    I've got to go into the lab for half days today and tomorrow. The rest of today I'm grading assignments and analyzing data. Tomorrow I'm doing something with some friends. They are last minute planners so I have no idea what we are doing yet.

    I had my third and final surgical procedure in a series of (hopefully) 3 Friday afternoon. So I'm spending the weekend slumming it here at home, recovering, napping, watching trashy tv, and playing online.  Soon as I feel up to it I need to start playing with my new stove and oven, so I get used to how they cook before the holidays. Going to bake up a bunch of new gluten free recipes for my sister and niece and mail them to them to try.  Next week it's going to get really cold here, so I'm trying to decide what kinds of yummy soups I'm going to make that fit with my current (special) diet.

    I threw a baby shower today. Pretty fun. Some hiccups, but when isn't there?

    Did appliqué on bibs and onesies.
    Had amazing food and tons left over.
    This was the first time I had guests over to the house since moving in, got lots of compliments.
    Oh - and those favors I was stressing over thinking they were dumb and needed reassuring? - whelp in all the excitement I forgot to give them out! Whoops!

    Sunday I'll be cleaning up the mess I didn't get to tonight and doing laundry. Won't have to worry about food cause it's going to be a leftover week!

    Here's some of the appliqué that we did. I'm going to sew around the edges to secure them. It should look nice.

    I am currently being stared at by one of my cats while I eat my ice cream. She has smelled it multiple times, expressed disinterest in trying it, but continues to stare at me and act interested in it.

    I also just got done setting up FI's birthday present and I'm waiting (what seems like an ETERNITY) for games to download.

    I lied.
    I cleaned nothing. Nothing at all. 
    I did get a new (old) dresser, and got all excited and broke out the tools and paint, and made a frikking horrendous mess. In the living room, no less, even though I promised myself I wouldn't work in the living room. But the basement is so damned cold and dreary. 
    So today, I painted and ate weird food and never even combed my hair. It is still in yesterday's braid.
    It will be a very cool dresser. (I have this great old perfume company advertisement I've been dying to use. It has a splendid E. And a very beautiful C. Those Parisian sign painters were out of control. I love them.) 
    I wish I had marijuana.
