Good morning! I am TIRED. So tired that I put 2 shots of espresso in my latte this morning which I'm nearly done and considering making another.

Does anyone hear listen to any podcasts? I heard a lot about Serial a week or 2 ago and I got fully caught up on it while I was away and I am ADDICTED. I can't wait for the latest episode to come out tomorrow. I've been looking for more that are similar but haven't had any luck. I did download a couple Radiolab episodes to check out tonight on my commute home, though.

I get to see my babies this weekend! My mom is coming up this way to go see Frozen (Disney on Ice) on Saturday with me and then needs a ride home so H and I will drive her back and spend the night with the kitters and pupper and I CAN'T EVEN WAIT.

Good morning! I got to chit chat with my friend down in South Carolina. It's a balmy 16 degrees up here in central new york and apparently only 20 degrees down there. What is going on with the weather?

I don't know if I have ever listened to a podcast but you have peeked my interest and now I must go check it out. I need to download Game of Thrones onto my kindle and actually start reading that. Might do that tonight.

Yay for seeing the furbabies! I haven't been here long and I don't know if you explained but how come you don't have the little ones with you?

Two more days until the weekend and one more day until my third interview!

Good Morning ladies!!

My dogs have been doing quite well without being crated. They did a little damage yesterday, nothing big - knocked a chair over, knocked their water bowls over (looked like the bowls were empty 'cause there wasn't water everywhere).

So tired today - coffee isn't even helping (or my coffee is just defective).

@Swazzle - yay for furkids!! I'm almost afraid to ask - have there been any update

@Dignity100 - sounds like your dogs are behaving! we leave our pups out, but they are small and not destructive. the worst thing they do is smash the couch cushions out of shape.

I'm having a pretty sad morning. my great-aunt had a CT scan yesterday... she's 90, been having headaches since August and has a big red mark on her forehead. we'll find out today what the CT scan, or at least what kind of specialist they are sending her to. and then in the middle of last night, H's mom called. H grew up with a family of 3 boys that are like his brothers. yesterday, one of the sons (who had seizures a lot) had a really bad seizure, and they couldn't bring him out and he died. H is so upset, and I just hurt for him.

and we have ants in our dishwasher. HALP??

I'm freezing my arse off and it's only November. What am I going to do in December? And January? And February? Brrrrr. I need a beach vacation already.

@swazzle - I'm so glad you get to visit with your furbabies. We are already dreading being without ours for nine days...

@ChemFanatic25 - Freezing here too! It was so hard to get out from under my nice warm comforter this morning! H and I were a day from closing on our house and there was an issue with the seller and it turned into a short sale. We had to be out of our apartment a week later so we're staying with my aunt and our 3 cats and 1 dog are staying with my parents about 2 hours from us. It sucks, all of it. I hope you rock your interview!

@Dignity100 - Supposedly we'll have an update from the bank by tomorrow but I'm not getting my hopes up.

@CocoBellaF - That's so sad, I'm sorry

And I have no advice for how to deal with the ants so I'm sorry about that too.

@Dignity100- That's good to hear your dogs are starting off good without the crates! I can't wait until we get there with Maddux. We leave him in our bedroom and he mostly just chews on his toys and sleeps but I would much prefer to let him have free range. That will probably wait until he is a year.

@CocoBellaF -Sorry to hear about your H's loss of his friend. : (

This morning there was ice still on the roads. I'm feeling kind of down today and I think it's because AF is coming and I had to submit my payment to student loans so that's never fun. Work has been super slow this week and I wish I could just work from home on those days so I could get other stuff done.

Tonight I'm going to CrossFit and having leftovers. DH's foot is doing much better today. He bought a cane to support himself when he walks and it makes him look like this poor old man. It's hilarious but also very sad. I just want to hug him.

@southernpeach89 - Auto-pay on your loans is the way to go! Then you never have to physically do it yourself and watch the money disappear (and, at least with my loan company, you can save a small % off the interest rate).

@ChemFanatic25 - Thanks! We didn't have to start all over, luckily. We're basically playing the waiting game with the bank right now. They have to approve the sale now which can take weeks or even months. We're not willing to wait forever, though, so we're hoping to hear good news soon or else we'll be walking away from the house and starting over.

I just saw it advertised here but it isn't playing at a time when I can go. @CocoBellaF‌ -I'm so sorry, that's so sad. @southernpeach89‌ -glad to hear your H is doing better Not much exciting going on here today. Praying it gets warmer since I'm working outside on Thursday and Friday and it's a whopping 19 degrees. I've been fighting getting a cold this week so I'm sure standing outside the next two days isn't going help that.

@swazzle - Oh, ha. We are driving from Philly to Pittsburgh on Monday, then heading to Detroit Tuesday. For DH's 40th bday (which isn't until 1/2), we're going to the Lions/Bears game on Thanksgiving day. His mom and stepdad are also meeting us in Detroit and we're staying with a family friend. Should be a blast!

So. Cold.

So very very cold.

Still -8, feeling like -18 with the wind. It's so windy on my street that my windows are shaking.

@cu97tiger - I'm with you, I hate that it's cold SO early and I have a solid 4 months of this ahead. BOOO!

On the bright side, I had a relaxing night last night. FI had band practice so I made tasty beef stew and had wine and snuggled with my cat.

I need to be productive today. No crazy threads to distract me! Lots to get done before I'm off for a few days next week.

Tonight I am making dumplings and stir fry, and FI and I are going to watch Homeland and Newsroom from Sunday. And more wine.

It is way too cold for November here this is ridiculous. I had a read thru for the play I'm in and wow I've got a lot of lines to learn. So no more reading for fun until this show is over, oh well.

This day is starting off rather crappy. I sit next to this co-worker who is not only annoying but really strange and immature. She isn't a part of my team but got a question sent to her about the job I do. I told her to forward it to me and I would take care of it and call the people who sent her the email by accident with answers to their questions. Apparently my answer wasn't good enough and she felt the need to go to our manager- WTF!!! She is looking for a new job b/c technology has taken over most of what she used to do. I hope she finds something soon.

It's going to be one of those days.

It's fucking freezing here this morning. Bean, the adorable but not at all sensible preteen, thought he'd be good in a short sleeve shirt and a North Face windbreaker. I laughed at him. He actually argued with me about wearing a heavier coat. *sigh* these teenage years are going to be long ones.

I inhaled this insanely delicious french cheese pastry from a local bakery. OMG it was an experience.

Other than that, I'm just waiting for a coworker to come back and show me how to do this one thing in our new system. It's been so busy the last week since we went live, that I've barely had time to breath. But I couldn't pass up the chance to tell you guys I miss you!!!

@cocobellaf, I'm so sorry. As far as the ants are concerned, is there a way you can slide an ant trap under the dishwasher where your dogs can't get to it? I've heard good things about diatomaceous earth along baseboards as well for repelling.

@KeptInStitches - I just read about pouring vinegar down the drain and then running it on hot, and spraying peppermint oil in it? I don't know, but those ants are going to DIE. they are actually inside the dishwasher.

I think I spoke too soon about the dogs. I guess between me leaving and H leaving the dogs broke into the kitchen, knocked the garbage over and somebody peed on the floor. The way I'm kind of looking at it is - it was between the time I left and before H left so it would have happened regardless. H called me and was rather upset about it, not sure what he wanted me to do when I was already at work though. His call actually kind of made me all 'negative Nancy' today, just kinda felt like I was being yelled at/blamed for my dogs' poor behavior; I understand he was upset he had a big mess to clean up though.

@CocobellaF - Hope your great-aunt is ok. Hope you get your dishwasher all cleaned up too!!

@Swazzle - Hopefully the bank can just fast track you guys so they can be done with it! I know they're probably corporate losers who don't care about your situation

Ugh I'm so tired as well. My FI was working late so then we hung out for a bit and then he worked until about 3 am and then woke me up when he got in bed so I'm a little Rage-y at the moment. Plus it's super cold in NYC so I'm just cranky.

But tonight is our night to go out to NJ and take his kids to dinner so I"m super excited to see them! Haven't seen them since Sunday night and haven't had time to face time with them this week so it'll be fun to have a couple hours with the kiddos. Then I"m going to pass out later.

It's up to 28 degrees here - feels like 19. It's supposed to get warmer again though, and according to the 10-day forecast, will be 59 on Monday. Stop it, Mother Nature. Just stop.

I'm dying to see what our floors look like. I ordered the truck for Saturday, FI is scheduling the couch delivery, and we have friends on tap to help! I can't wait!!

@Dignity100 - I get like that, like your H, I mean. There was a stretch of a couple weeks where it seemed like everything that could go wrong with our animals (pee, poop, throw up, gum stuck to the bottom of a paw) all happened only when I was home to deal with it. I got so irrationally angry with my H (and in front of @GoldenPenguin, @Hummingbird125, @buddysmom80, and @csousa1, thank god they love me) I had to apologize later. It was just pent up frustration that exploded and I felt so bad about it.

@lacqueredlover - I didn't realize you were in NYC! I'm right across the river :::waves:::

Well I'm freezing and wearing three layers . . . so currently Cortland but I travel to work from Syracuse. I heard on the radio that yesterday was the coldest day of November in 30 years. Why am I still living here!?!?!

I have no idea what the weekend is looking like but it doesn't really matter because I'll be inside cooking all day.

Are you making renovations to the house? Pictures please! I love seeing before and afters. It's the coolest thing watching people's ideas form into something physical.

@Dignity100 I sympathize with you. My pup apparently was crying the whole time this morning after I left for work and my SO was kept up by it. I felt so bad because if he doesn't get enough sleep or his anxiety acts up his stomach tries to murder him. Hopefully we have found a doctor that will actually address the problem this time but until then I'm trying to help accommodate his discomfort since he is trying to so hard to get to know Missy and not freak out.

It is unfortunate that your DH had to deal with that, but that is the joy of having something that is dependent on you. Something wrong will happen, just have to roll with the punches :-D

@Dignity100 - I totally sympathize. when we first got Bax, he chewed through wood door frames, tore up the carpet over and over, ate the blinds, chewed up clothes, destroyed his bed(s) and crates, peed everywhere... once we started working with his anxiety, those behaviors started to stop... and then when we got him fixed, it really helped! I hope it gets better and they start to behave like good pups!
