Splurge shoes!!!

I am thinking that if I can find a dress below my budget I am going to splurge and get awesome shoes... Jimmy Choos, Christian louboutin, or the like as a fun gift to myself! I want purple shoes and was wondering if anyone has done this and if so where they got them (I still want to get them on sale of course... I am not spending $800 on shoes!!!)

I too am wanting to have purple shoes with my gown. I was surfing the net and found www.endless.com and found a pair of purple shoes on sale for $38.00 including free overnight shipping! (pic is in above by my screen name). I also like www.modista.com as they'll search multiple sites (including zappos and enless) for purple shoes.

I think everyone should have at least 1 splurge item at their wedding. If you find something you love and can afford it, go for it! I'm just choosing my splurge item to be a photobooth at the reception.

I don't know if that really helps you at all :-) but you may want to at least check out those websites (if you haven't already) to see if there's something you like.

I didn't... thank you! I LOVE purple and I LOVE shoes so it makes sense... I think a photobooth is an awesome idea! Do you mind if I ask if you PM me and let me know how much it was (or a range if you don't feel comfy with saying the amount???) I think my guests would love that!

I also wanted purple shoes, and I found my dream shoes at www.ninashoes.com If you sign up for the email list you get discounts, I got my pair for 30% off so they were between $60-70. Here is a pic!

I just noticed pp has link to this same shoe on zappos, but like I said if you get from the company website there are discount emails sent...=)

Neiman Marcus had the Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby in purple. Not sure if they still do. There is also a, I believe, dyable white satin Sedaraby that the boutiques have. If you call the Vegas boutique, Jennifer is such a sweetie and a knottie.

They can find almost any kind of shoe, especially the ladies in the Louboutin forum. Some have dyed their shoes, so you could get an exact shade of purple.

I totally dig the idea of splurging on shoes. It's exactly what I did. Got my dress for cheap, and bought a pair of Manolo's to go with the dress. The shoes, I'll wear again, the dress, not so much, so in my eyes it's a much better idea to splurge on shoes instead of the dress. Paid full price for those, but I was still under $1k for the entire bridal getup.
