Anybody care to Flash their cake? I love wedding cakes!!
Mine was - rose ball is fondent, top tier white chocolate with buttercream and icing, middle chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream and bottom white chocolate again, we also had a cutting block of traditional cake with jam and buttercream and icing.
I loved picking my cake so much (especially the tastings)
Our cake knife was Vera Wang

We had a Viennese hour (essentially an entire room of dessert) so hardly any cake was eaten. We took the entire rest of it with us and froze sections, and they are still delicious!
Don't know if it's same in the USA but in the UK years ago it was strictly sponge and a layer of fruit cake you was meant to keep until first babies christening or first anniversary whichever came first it's not until recently new flavours was heard of my mum couldn't comprehend a chocolate wedding cake! !
I'm forgoing cake for cupcakes, dark and white chocolate covered strawberries, white French macaroons and some sort of dessert bar TBD... Something like these... Not my pictures
