@furturemrshistorian - I was good and lost weight during Thanksgiving week so I'm pretty confident about Christmas. I still ate everything, I just took super small portions. I felt pretty good while everyone else was looking pretty stuffed and miserable

I've been pretty good about doing *something* My bare minimum so far has been doing push-ups every morning. I'm at 125/day. I really hate them, but I want sculpted arms & shoulders so I guess I'll have to endure, lol. T&P for MrH!

Thanks @eilis1228 ! It's a small goal in the grand scheme of things, but BF & I have both been working on it steadily since the beginning of July. If we can make it through holiday seasons and keep the momentum then we can do anything

and bikini season will be right around the corner, haha! Tree looks good! I need to dig ours out. Maybe this weekend. T&P for your FI's grandpa and his family. I hope grandpa can maintain a decent quality of life until its his time and that he goes peacefully =( there's nothing worse than watching your loved ones slowly deteriorate. I'm sorry to hear he's not accepting any assistance, though.

Work went by quickly. Got a lot of stuff done I had been putting off because of the extra worked dumped on us by another institution. We got new vending contract for our break room as of yesterday and people are *not* happy. They installed a bunch of new vending machines and prices went up dramatically up on everything except Gatorade (worse one - water used to be $.35 a bottle, now $1.50). Bright side, everything that our snack bar carries stayed the same price. Down side, anything our snack bar carried that was also going to be in the vending machines had to be removed from the snack bar. Bright side, most stuff in the machines isn't on my diet anyways - and the prices on things will be a good deterrent to eating more than what I bring for lunch ($2.50 for a 5 oz cup of yogurt, anyone?)

@CocoBellaF - Last night we picked H up some of the Breathe Right strips and he got a decongestant and there was NO snoring (at least that woke me up... and it was quiet when Loki got me up for his super-early-morning-potty break @ 2:00am).

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate the kind words and T&P for FI's family. I haven't heard any updates yet, but I know he went in for more radiation yesterday. We'll try and find out more information tonight. I've lost all of my grandfathers and my father, so I'm all too familiar with death. I'm sad that FI has to learn all about grief so soon though. I'm so heartbroken for his mom and his grandmother too. I'm not sure what's easier-- losing a loved one suddenly or watching them suffer. :-\ For now we're trying to focus on the happier aspects of the season and take everything with his grandfather one day at a time. FI's got a new boss, and they're discussing his current projects and which projects he'd like to take on, so he's been busy this week figuring all of that out. Lots of positive distractions
