This was totally on my mind yesterday! I searched this past forum and many did consider welcome bags as the favor, which put my mind at ease since that was my initial plan to begin with.

We are doing welcome bags and a lottery scratch off at each of the seats.

Since we're locals and don't really have a need for welcome bags we did a couple different things... throw blankets for the DDB (since it will be the end of January!) and a hangover kit in little take out containers including Bloody Mary mix, vodka, Advil, emergenC, bandaids, alka-seltzer and a couple of mints. I also got flip flops for the women to be out at the after party, but I don't know if I'd really count that as a favor.

We are doing welcome bags too... and they will include candy, snacks, headache meds, water, koozies, hand santizer, candy, etc. We are also having a photo booth at the reception.

For the convention center bags... I remember that thread, but wondering... is it too soon to ask for them for my April wedding??

Does anyone know how we can get already played Casino cards for a good price?
I think a deck of Vegas hotel cards would be a great thing to add to a welcome bag!

Knottie76129794, I got my cards from the Dollar Tree. You can get them from the website, but I just went to my local store and they are near the cash register. I bought mine months ago, but I saw them just the other day. They have tons of options... I picked ones that meant something to us (not that anyone will ever know). Obviously, they are $1 each. Also, they have small travel size hand sanitizer there, 3 for $1. Great prices for these little novelty items!

We had boxes set up on the candy/cupcake buffet so people could take stuff back to their rooms. We also put scratch-offs in the welcome bags.

We stayed away from "traditional" favors since everyone had to fly in.

We are doing welcome bags for anyone who books a room in our block. We aren't doing favors at the actual wedding, just wasn't in the budget and any wedding we have been to the favor has been tossed aside somewhere so we figured our guests wouldn't miss them too much if we hosted them great otherwise
