Hey , I'm so sorry you r going thru this. Not seeing you on mother's day bc mother in law more important. Nonsense . Sounds like the gf is a chip off old block of mom. Sounds like sons gf is a well....brat. idk best advice other than talk to your soon about how you'd like to be with him more , or make plans to take walks, lunches , etc things that don't break the bank. Invite son and gf or if gf doesn't come just son. Start to do all you can to make effort to be with son away from this so he can make sure it's what he wants . You are his mother , you deserve to be held high

Re: Let's talk baby names.
Sissy
If we have a boy his name will be Connor Gregory, a mix of the father's names
probably watermelonia....
just kidding... lol. you gotta see the youtube video to know what im talking about...
I used to want Jaden Isaiah, and now the whole "aden" name is played out. Jaden, Aiden, Braeden, Kaeden, Shaeden,
now I am thinking of passing on our sons name from "ELEX" but my FI doesnt like the idea as much.
and my grandmother's name is DOLLY no joke. and she is such a doll truly. She is the emy of glamour, very classy, and all around beautiful. However, I was thinking of naming our daughter DALIA and just nicknaming her DOLLY, so she wont hate me (as much)
1. I think that it does in someway. my mom and my aunt were pregnant at the sametime and they both liked the name stephanie and britany and so they agreed that which ever baby was born first got the name stephanie (they were both due arround the same time) i was born first and i am glad britany is so not me
2. hells to the no.
3. my cousin named her daughter story.
4. for boy names i have 3 picked out, Mark Anthony(not after the singer), Justin Primo (FH's middle name is primo and he wants to pass it on and he wants our son to have the same initals as him) and Leo allan named after my grandpa and my dad . for girl names i have two, Meldoy rose after his mom and diana lynn which has a very speical meaning to me.
I dont know, I guess. Melissa was the most common name given out the year I was born and there was 4 other Melissas in my class. My mom gave us all greek names, mine means honey-bee, but I wish it was a bit more original.
My sister gave her daughter a very traditional greek name(her hubby is greek too). Eleftheria. But at least she gave her a cute nickname. Effie.
Absolutely not
All those celebrity names like Pilot Inspektor and Kal-El.
I like Scarlett for a girl and Tristan or Dominic for a boy.
DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!
Rayleigh Love, after Geology class, of course. Rubie after my greatgrandma. We'll call her Rue, or RueBoo
[QUOTE] I also had a teacher who had twins named "Orangejello" and "Lemonjello" pronounced "Or-an-je-lo" and "Le-man-je-lo" that's great parenting right there. How are these kids SERIOUSLY supposed to get a job?\

OMG... sorry to double post, but my FI's sister used to work as a insurance info taker and she had twin boys on her list with the exact same names! Years later it still isn't old to laugh about.... I hope they are the same twins and there isn't really two dumb people out there who would do this!
I like my first name because it doesn't have an easy nickname (I don't really like nicknames) and is easy to spell/pronounce but isn't super popular. I hated my maiden name but my married name is awesome and very memorable.
No. I was a teacher and it was awkward for everyone when a kid had a weirdly spelled name. I had 6 kids (in the same class) with some sort of variation of "Dayshawn" all spelt a different way. Not exaggerating.
Brothers: one was "WithGod" and another was "HisLove". Also a few Princesse and Divas
2. Would you take a traditional name and spell it funky just so your child can be unique? For instance, Jennifer = Xennypher.I kinda did with my daughter, Helayna June. She is named after my great-grandmother, Helen. I don't like how Helena is pronouced, I like he-LAY-na. We call her Layna for short.
3. What is the dumbest name you've ever heard? Nevaeh. I know so many people how have kids named this, and I still think it's dumb to spell Heaven backwards and use it as a name.
I also had an ex who had a daughter named Lilian December. I understand the first name, but the middle name? I just didn't get it.
4. If you have children or are planning on having children, what names have you considered? My childrens' names are Helayna June and Jeremy Martin. FI's daughter's name is Zelda Mae. While pregnant with my daughter, we had thought about Lilith Rayne. We were gonna call her Lily.
nope can't say that i've ever been able to connect to my name. it does not relate to me. i've wanted to change it my whole life and my parents have never been able to understand my pain from it and y i'd want to change it.
yes and know my son's name is orrin (not spelt that way) but the spelling does have meaning to us. Also i've purposely spelt my nickname wrong for years so people pronounce it correctly, not that it's hard to begin with.
tbh i hate michelle. i no i no it's not an odd name. Oh wait what about D ick! (lol omg i had to edit that) my FFIL's name is richard and everyone calls him d ick can't stand that either.
we've also considered the names William (not bill) I love the name Orrick but the whole vacuum thing would bug me. fi is determined if we have a girl one day her name will be Naomi or he's got another one picked out that sounds completely stripperish to me
Yeah i think so, i used to hate it but i think that's because i was one of 4 Sophies in my school and we were all Sophie B, Sophie T, Sophie H etc etc to identify us and i just wanted to be known by my first name!! It's interesting though when you are certain on a name and when the baby arrives they just go out the window. I was going to be a Katie but when i was born my mum said i didn't look like a Katie.
2. Would you take a traditional name and spell it funky just so your child can be unique? For instance, Jennifer = Xennypher.
No, i would perhaps go for a less common spelling of something if it was a common name but i certainly would never make up my own spelling!!
3. What is the dumbest name you've ever heard?
I think in the UK we haven't quite been caught by the calling our children really strange things bug yet (some exceptions!) but i hate it when parents don't think about the first name and the last name together. Like at work the other day someone gave me their ID and they were called John Thomas. Ouch...
4. If you have children or are planning on having children, what names have you considered?
Middle names are easy, Freddie for my grandpa or Lucie which is a family name.
First names i like Tacy or Aimee or Mia
or for boys i like Loki or Zak and i quite like Kiefer but everyone says "oh like 24?" .... STFU
eh, not really. Amy is just a simple name. my dad wanted to name me Loretta so I am happy with Amy!!
I wouldn't go too out there, maybe change like one letter or something (madeline=madelyn) but overall, answer is no
Boss. I heard a mom calling her kid Boss...I was like "seriously? you named your kid Boss?".
Melahu'ala (think I spelled it right) this kid in VBS in hawaii, we just called him Mel
in general, anything with a La, Sha, Ma, Ja or anything like that added to the beginning with the occasional apostrophe
I like Beatrix. FI hates it. I also like Ezekiel for a boy and call him Zeke.

I dont know if it really gives me a sense of identity, but I like my name. My name is Amanda Lynn, and my mom always called me mandolin, like the instrument, and I always thought that was the coolest.
No.
Shithead, Orangello, and Koiye...I'm not crazy about that one because I think of a coy fish pond.
For a girl, I like Madison, Marleigh, Peyton, at the moment, but now people are naming their dogs Marleigh, and Madison is becoming popular. I also like Cora, probably as a middle name, because it was my Great-grandmother's name, and my mom wanted to use it, but my dad didn't like it.
I like the name Taylor for either a boy or a girl and I haven't really thought of a lot of boy names, but the middle boy name will be Joseph because it covers all men on both sides of our families
