OK @KatWAG and anyone else who doesn't know how to gif. You're learning now.

    Lolo's definitive guide to giffing:

Easiest way is to start with Google Images. Search for whatever you want plus the word gif.
    image

Click the image you like, then click "View Image."
    image

Go to the image location, and copy the URL.
    image

(If you're using an image from somewhere else - Buzzfeed, Tumblr, etc - just right click the image and then "Copy Image URL")

Back to TK you go, and click the little green polaroid "Insert Image" button. Paste the URL of the image into the text box.
    image

If you need to resize it, click the icon with the two red arrows [<>] to view the code, find the URL of the image, and after the quotation mark but before the closing > arrow, type width = and the size in pixels that you want. Between 400-600 is generally a good size.

    Ta-da! Gif success!

Ok so I feel stupid. (am stupid)

When I go and google image something, I dont see view image.....

You can just click on an image to make it big, right click on it and then click "copy image URL"
    image
  • @katwag I just click on the picture then click on it again

  • @KatWAG‌ Click on the image to see the preview of it. The view image button should be to the right.

It doesn't work for me if I right click and do Copy Image URL from within the Google preview.

When i single click the image it takes my straight to the website of the gif, not to a preview.

eta: could this have anything to do with the extremely updated version of internet explorer I am using? My company wont update us.

Oh I get what you mean, lolo. I got it to work just by going to Google images like you said.
For example, Google image search "kitten gif" and then click on the image I like.
The right click and click on "copy image URL"
and then click on the little green box at the top of this text box next to the two blue arrows (when you hover your mouse over it it says Insert Image).
Then either right click and hit paste or just do Ctrl + V, but then you have to make sure that at the beginning of the text there are not two "https://" like I said in an earlier post. That was the only way I can figure out to do it.

But I see what you mean that when you click on an image there's that button next to it. Look at me, learning! Kat, if I can do it, you can do it!

You can just not click on the image at all, but just right click it and hit the "copy image URL" thing that way. I just tried it and it worked for me but I'm using Google Chrome :S

I'm not sure. I use Google Chrome, but don't know if it works differently in other browsers.

That can still work though - go to the website that has that image, right click on it, and click "copy image URL."

H has a masters in IT I am confident we can figure this out when I get home tonight. Hopefully I will be giffing on Monday.

Can you click properties when you right click? I usually just copy the address from there.
