but i am attending a cookie sway tonight at a girlfriend's house with my mom. Everyone has to make 6 dozen of one kind of cookie. I went with a shortbread sandwich cookie with nutella filling and a dark chocolate drizzle. I don't like shortbread or nutella, I don't even really like cookies. I am going more to socialize. The cookies I bring home will first go to DH to choose from if he wants anything, then will be immediately brought to work for our office holiday luncheon tomorrow. I need them out of my house!!!!!
Re: Don't really like cookies. . . .
I started with chocolate chip cookies from an organic box mix that was wheat flour and ancient grains just because I make them on and off through out the year and I needed an "easy" on to get into my baking groove.
Then I made <these> and holy cow, they were good.
Last night I made him <7 layer bars>, and I'm waiting to see what he'll ask for me to make this weekend.
I have eaten my fair share too, so I think I've gained 2 pounds already... Just a little more to work off in January I guess...
I love cookies but get bored making them. I have so many ideas for this year now. I think yours might be on the list...
