Pretty uneventful here - overcast and about 40 degrees. I think it's actually supposed to be pretty warm, but I think you're weather is heading down tonight because they are calling for snow/rain mix tomorrow.

We've gotten very, very little snow in the city so far…I think we're like 20" behind the norm now. It's weird.

we are to get around 8 inches today/tomorrow. We are in the valley so the ski mountains will get a lot more.

We went for high tea in the burj Al Arab in dubai they had designer toiletries like chanel and friends I contemplated waiting for toilet attendant and accidentally dropping it in my handbag. I didn't though lol

I woke up about an hour ago. FI had to work the early morning shift so he won't be back for another hour or so, so I'm pretty much just hanging out. Need to fold laundry and do dishes, and will probably take a look at some vendor stuff. Maybe try to do some writing.

I'm in the ER. Yay. I started having some bad abdominal pain yesterday, but I assumed it was just because I had a heavy brunch. 24 hours later, and the pain is still there, so h insisted I get it checked out since it's pretty consistent with appendicitis symptoms. I'm waiting for the CT scan results and am still super loopy from the drugs.

Doc said appendix is fine. He said everything else is fine, and wrote stuff down for me to give to my PCP at a follow up. And I'm still loopy.

I did four loads of laundry and baked two loaves of bread for my celiac future stepmom, then FI left me to go to a hockey game with his dad, so now I'm eating cookies and watching "Meet the Sloths" on Animal Planet. Exciting stuff.

We just got home and I was so excited to watch hockey and wrap presents. I got to the end of gift one and ran out of tape. So disgusted with myself for buying wrapping paper and not tape this year. Will continue after dinner.

At work, and its DEAD! This is supposed to be the busiest time of year, where is everyone? One of the bellmen ordered a burger from our in-house steakhouse (rated one of the best in the city) which cost him about $35 and he's taking a nap in the back.

Bummer. A few weeks ago we went to an olive oil infusion store. I bought a basil infused oil and a mango infused Balsamic. Put them in the cabinet and haven't used them until tonight.

I decided to grill up a tuna steak. I rub the basil oil on the steak and seared it. I went to get out the mango balsamic out only to find out it was a garlic olive oil instead. I don't know what happened but we ended up with the olive oils and no balsamic. BOO

All was not lost, I had a creamy basil marinate that I used instead. Still bummed though. I wanted that balsamic for a caprese salad I wanted to make.

I started my baking marathon. Sadly had to stop after 2 pans of fudge and 50+ chocolate chip cookies.

Had to stop not because I wanted to.....ran out of sugar after using nearly 5 lbs. :-(

Note to anyone who tried to recreate the cookie butter fudge publix has been showcasing in some stores- I have the recipe, and that motherfucker requires 3 cups of sugar for a 9 in x 9 in pan single batch. It's like Willy Wonka took over the fucking Aprons department

BUT, this shit is damn tasty; on top of the sugar, there's european spice cookie spread (found next to the nutella), and I had to coarsely grind up some of those biscoff cookies you get on airplanes to pour this stuff over before setting it in the fridge. This stuff tastes like the biscoff cookies and gelato had an orgy and a bunch of babies. I'll post photos and reviews/comments later.

I've nearly 10 lbs of chocolate chips left. My boss is going to "kill" me when I come in with the shitloads of cookies and fudge. i'll just have to tell her it could be worse- I could let Evil Chipmunk deliver all the goodies the week after New Years and become "Evil Chipmunk- Destroyer of Diets."

Now watching DH destroy things playing Destiny for PS4, while sipping port.

That sounds amazing!! Could you please PM me the recipe? You reminded me that in high school I tried someone's gingerbread fudge and it was the most amazing thing ever. I need to look up a recipe for that.

PS: I always love hearing about Evil Chipmunk.

Oh, the life of hospitality. My two days off are Fridays and Saturdays which I don't mind.

At least I have Christmas Eve and Day off this year, so I can't complain.
