Alteration rec for bridesmaid dress?

Hello Chicago :)

Can anyone recommend a good place/person for alterations to my sister's bridesmaid dress?  I'm not there but she lives south of the city in South Barrington.

    Barrington is actually North, that may help you if you searc "northwest suburbs alterations"  The stitch Fairy has been recommended here, and they are around there and will come to you.

    I know a seamstress in the city itself, so I don't know if I'm any help!  However, if she's willing to travel into the city - she's amazing and quite cheap.  She altered a bridesmaid's dress of mine that was satin & 3 layers (including a gauzy underneath...thing... lol), including the ribbon that trailed down the back for $40.  The other places I had price it had all told me over $100.  And she's very good!

    I have had bridesmaids dresses altered at Inverness Cleaners on Palatine Rd and Quentin Rd. Which is close to Barrington. They did a great job.
