Friends of your SO that you don't like.

There's only one that I don't really like, but he is a bit weird. We were friends at first (I actually met SO through him), and then he got kind of crazy and would call me a bitch to SO and was just like, outrageously rude to me. Now (that was like 5 years ago), he seems to have calmed down and I don't mind him as much. I am just a grudgey person, and will probably always remember that haha.

my FI one friend has tried to sleep with me. told him fuck no and he still tries. FI just blows it off because the damn guy is a player.

Wow and they're still friends? That's crazy.

All of my SO's friends are pretty cool and fun and they mesh well with my friends and family.

He does have one particular work friend who I don't care for. He is rude and has no filter and likes to come over and get obscenely drunk and hit on each of my friends. Luckily, my SO's other friends don't really care for him either so he hasn't been invited to as many gatherings.

I really like FI's friends. One of them is fun-loving and cool but reckless >> drives 110mph, doesn't pay attention, lots of dangerous stuff when we're snowmobiling. So even though I like him I actually worry that FI will get seriously hurt when he's with him.

Now, FI's friends' SOs - - totally different story. Reminiscent of @novella1186 's FI's best man's girlfriend.

It sucks, doesn't it? Cuz for whatever reason, we're automatically expected to be friends with these girls, whether we like it or not.

im not the only one he's done that too. this guy only calls when he needs fi to bail him out of jail. i dont even want him at the wedding but his mom is invited so we figured whatever. His friends mom i kinda get a long with, actually better than my fmil. id take her dress shopping over my fmil.

So, this guy actives tries to get you to sleep with him, and your FI just blows it off? This makes no sense to me.

I could go on forever about one of DH’s friends I can’t stand.

She had a crush on him 12 years ago when they met. They have never dated or otherwise been involved. He’s included her in family things since they met because she’s estranged from her family. She then ended up dating one of the BILs for years so she got more involved in the family. She got dumped a few months ago when they both cheated on each other. (DH’s brothers married 2 sisters so the two families are deeply combined).

She throws herself at him and his (married) brothers constantly. To the point that my SILs and MIL have warned me about her. Her posts on their facebook pages are occasionally so inappropriate that even my mom has commented. The guys never pick up on it and think we all dislike her because “she’s just not good with girls”- the line she uses to explain why she doesn’t have any girlfriends.

I'm not the jealous type and I trust DH completely. We know that she doesn’t want a relationship with him- she’s made it clear that she would never be a stepmom. He just doesn’t equate her tendency to sleep with friends with him. He’s loyal enough to me and the SILs that if he believed she was flirting, he’d drop the friendship. However, it has been made clear that I'm not ok with him being alone with her unless it's in a public place. He thinks I'm overreacting but agrees to it.

Now that she’s single, she’s needier than usual- she keeps asking DH to take her shopping, to fix things on her apartment, for rides, etc. DH barely has enough time for his own life so she gets pissy when he says no. When they make plans for things like a lunch or dinner, she always cancels. Last time, he sat around the house an entire Saturday night because they had plans but she never responded when he asked what time he was picking her up. I think that the friendship is coming to an end but I hate that he’s getting hurt in the process.

ETA: Because this is TK, it's worth noting- she wore a long, sparkly, slutty white dress to the wedding.

havent seen the guy in over a year or more. this all happened years ago. the guy lives in puerto rico.
