I got it in my Ipsy bag last month, and I'm pretty sure it came with a coupon code for the Cailyn website. http://www.cailyncosmetics.com/EYE/JUST-MINERAL-EYE-POLISH

I'll check if I still have it to share with everyone.
  • i love make up, although i never wear it because i just simply dont have time to put any on or the patience to do so. i cherish my sleep very much. ill do my nails and do facials but anything beyond those 2 you can forget it.

I was going to do something pretty and post it but i am fighting mad bags today and I unfortunately chose gold to go with my blue under eyes. Also, fluorescent lights are everywhere.

  • I have been getting into makeup a lot more this year. I think I am going to attempt some sort of glittery smokey eye with some funky lashes because mine are so sparse and thin!

Any ladies have any tips for keeping false lashes on for the whole evening?

Let your glue dry a little before putting it on and don't touch your eyes until you are ready to take them off.

  • stefuhknee duo lash glue is the best, you can buy it at any drug store.  I find it's easier to use smaller pieces of lashes rather than one long strip but grip the lashes in a tweezer, apply the glue to the edge of the lashes, let it dry for about 20 seconds so it gets tacky and then place on the lashes.  Push on for about 10 seconds so it sets, then put eyeliner over it!

  • Thanks ladies! I will try tonight. I've been using some little black adhesive that I've seen some of the Korean salons in my area use but I don't think it's very effective. I also purchased the Revlon lash glue but it hasn't held up. I will heed those tips tonight.

"I was shakin' in my shoes whenever she flashed those baby blues!" Golly, that's a nice eye.

Laqueredlover, you have seriously white teeth. I'm jealous.

  • I wanted to get an opinion on my "do," but now I'm rushing out the door to volunteer before NYE madness. Oh well. Here's (one of) mine anyway.

I finally finished my makeup!! I still have no idea what to wear or what to do with my hair, but here's my makeup:

Don't mind my eyebrows. We're fighting.

(ETA: oops, that second picture was the wrong one. Fixed!)
  • No matter what I do, I end up with one smashed together blob of color on my eyes instead of nice contouring. Oh well.

  • @lolo883 I have to make a deliberate effort to put my "crease" shadow way the fuck above my crease, or else my eyes just eat it. Yours looks super pretty, though!

@beethery shhhhhh it's my camera. It has auto skin smoothing built in on portrait mode. ;) Trust me, on a camera phone I look like a corkboard.

    Seconded. Tell us!
  • I need that camera also. I think tonight was the most primer/skin-fixing things I've ever put on and my pores are still gigantic.

@lovegood90 - Mine are never even. Ever. They're usually both awesome on their own, but never the same thickness. Tonight is no exception -- you just can't see both of them straight-on in any of the pictures I posted. :P

@beethery and @ashley8918 it's a Sony NEX. I have the F3, but they're up to 7 now. It's a compact system camera and I absolutely LOVE it - interchangeable lenses although I haven't upgraded from the 18/55mm one it came with yet, largest image sensor of a compact camera so it has great resolution in low light, manual and automatic settings. Oh and the screen flips forward for selfies. ;) ETA and @esstee33

And yeah, the skin smoothing is the bomb.

  • LOL I'm trying to take a picture with it to compare skin smoothing versus not (but with the same photo quality, versus a camera phone) but it's too smart for me. Even set on landscape mode it recognizes that it's a face, and prettifies me. THIS CAMERA WON'T LET ME LOOK UGLY.

That's because it's impossible. You are way too pretty to ever look ugly.
