The set dinner menu for the swanky jazz restaurant we're going to celebrate New Years will be over 1,000 calories. I'm trying to lose weight!

With that in mind I should forgo the estimated 600 calories in alcohol I plan on consuming.

But I won't.

My FILs got me a Le Creuset set for Christmas (pot w/lid/frying pan). It's a duplicate of the one they got me 2 years ago for Christmas, so now I have 2 of the same thing. They clearly do not remember giving it to me the first time around. They also got a nice silicone spatula to go with it, but it's a "left-handed" spatula. I'm not left-handed.

I bought a new rug for our living room over the weekend. H and I hate it because it slids on the hardwood and doesn't stay put. Plus we were out at Lowes last night and saw one cheaper that we like a ton better. I'm thinking I'm going to return it since it's been only a few days. Is that allowed? I feel like I'll be one of 'those people' that customer service people hate....

Do it. My coworker went through about 3 rugs in a week when she remodeled her living room until she found one that she loved. She said she didn't have any issues returning them.

I bought an iPhone6. WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE!? I bought it in gold. I don't even LIKE gold. I like silver! But the gold spoke to me.

Thanks - I think I'm going to after work today! I don't know why but I hate returning stuff. I feel bad, like it impacts the customer service person directly. It's crazy, I know.

I got my nails done last night and they're short. So I feel like I'm hitting my fingertips on stuff, so my fingertips hurt. But they're SO dang cute.

My sister and I have a long-standing NYE tradition: we stay in, invite friends/family/etc., and we make one favorite food for each person. Tonight will be 7 people, thus 7 favorite foods (plus a few other yummies thrown in for good measure). The big issue of the morning: we don't have space for all of the goodies in the fridge. This includes yumminess like fresh shrimp (shrimp cocktail!), tres leches cake, a chocolate/strawberry cake, lots of champagne, juice boxes (niece), bacon, and lots of cheese.

My FMIL gave us TWO gifts that she previously gave us. I'm going to take them to Walmart and see if I can get the money for them. I really don't need two griddles or two mini-choppers.

My FWP is obviously that I have to be at work today. Not even have to be, I just chose not to take off so I can take off 9+ days for my wedding and honeymoon. Why do I even NEED a job?!

ETA: I thought of another one. I really want this sassy Anne Taintor wall calendar for my office, but it's probably not work appropriate

2) Irritated with Verizon for not having a tracking number for my iPhone 6. I want to know where the hell it is!

First world problem with a third world solution -put them in the walk-in cooler aka on the porch. It's cold enough!

@mrsgoldfish no wonder you can't choose! I think I would go with the Half Day of Beauty - I've never had a facial before and I'd rather have a straight up massage over a hot stone massage.

Personally, I'd do the tranquility. But winter wrecks my scalp in the worst way.
