What's your first world problem of the day?

Re: What's your first world problem of the day?

  • I still haven't heard what time we can work till.

I'm working from home today. I can't decide if I should kickbox on my lunch break or take the day off.

I forgot to buy my sodium and sulfate free shampoo and conditioner yesterday, so now I have to waste time doing so today, as I want to straighten my hair later.

I can't decide which shoes to wear for our night out tonight.

  • My first world problems...

    1) Picking a funny name for the back of my bar crawl t-shirt.  I have some great ideas but narrowing it down is hard.

    2) Irritated with Verizon for not having a tracking number for my iPhone 6.  I want to know where the hell it is!

    3) Deciding on a color to paint my bathroom.
Do not do this to me, Verizon. DO NOT.
Oh and I ordered the phone in the store on December 15th and still nothing!  Grrrr.

Ugh.  My current phone works fine so I can deal (kind of) but I just want a tracking number so I can stalk the where-a-bouts of my phone obsessively :)

  • We don't have a porch :(

I thought about the garage but, until DH fixes the broken window with something more than cardboard, we can't keep the neighbor cats out. They tend to get into things. The window broke about a month ago and it's probably the warmest place for them to go. We couldn't bring ourselves to shut them out.

    Booze stays outside.

  • I don't wanna be at work :(

1/3 of my year end bonus went to taxes. I know I'll get it all back when I get my refund in the spring, but I want it NOWWWW

My New Years dress didn't fit and I had to return it. It's all my fault. I was out of control over the holidays.

I have stared at this and seriously think it could be useful in my right hand? Perfect in your right hand to stir a roux with that flat edge.

  • DH is still sleeping so I can't make whipped cream to put on my coffee because the mixer is too loud The cheese shop was out of real Swiss Raclette cheese so now I have to figure out something else to have for NYE dinner

  • My photographer doesn't have paypal, so I have to send a check through the mail for our engagement session photos.  Which means I won't have access to them to print until next week at the earliest.  I want them now.

I was thinking the same thing.

I get left handed scissors, but a spatula?  Not so much.  (this coming from a right-hander)

Clearly we're on the same page. Movie gifs included. Ouiser is me in 40 years.

  • ok just had one. i work at a large auto group and we have many brands and dealerships but we have inter office mail. i ordered a fuel cap for my acura and of course told the parts guy over there that he can just inter office it to me. well this morning the guy who does that came by and didnt have it. so i called my parts department and asked them if they could let me know if something came for me from the acura dealer. my parts manager called them and they sent it with the parts truck. come on the point of this was so i could have it done on my lunch (yes i work on my own car,, cap is connected to the car) but nope it went on the parts truck instead. so aggravated

  • Getting out early at 2:30, but no trains to my town until 3:45.  FML!
  • Those Rat Bastards at the Pilot station got rid of the chocolate mint hot cocoa.  Chocolate mint is my most favorite food group in the world.  2/3rd's chocolate mint cocoa, 1/3 coffee.  They replaced with with raspberry mocha crap.  Puhleaze......  "It's seasonal", seasonal my ass.  Rat Bastards.

  • My FILs got me a Le Creuset set for Christmas (pot w/lid/frying pan).  It's a duplicate of the one they got me 2 years ago for Christmas, so now I have 2 of the same thing.  They clearly do not remember giving it to me the first time around.  They also got a nice silicone spatula to go with it, but it's a "left-handed" spatula.  I'm not left-handed.
Send that baby to Colorado.    I'm a lefty and love lefty things.

I really need left-handed measuring cup.  Sounds stupid but the measurements are on the opposite side of how I hold the cup.

FWP - I'm working tonight.  They gave me a section to wait on. I don't like waiting tables.

  • Someone brought in homemade cinnamon rolls. I couldn't decide which one I wated.
  • It's all about the angle.  Having the point of the flat edge on the other side really does feel better in my right hand.  I did use it to make spaghetti the other day, and it works, but I swear it felt more effective when I switched to my left hand.

  • I'm between assignments at work and nobody is giving me anything new to work on.  I'm working from home with nothing to do but I still need to put in a timesheet today.  I am doing really random stuff, like IT training and cleaning up my file storage on my work computer.

If they were in a pan always go for the middle one.  They tend to be gooey-er and yummier.

I picked the one with the most frosting...it was middle-ish. I always pick whatever has the most frosting.
  • I don't know if I'm going out for NYE or staying in. Which is fine, but if we end up going out I don't really have a NYE outfit - all my dresses are either only work or Christmas party appropriate, if that makes sense?

So I don't know if I should bother trying to find an outfit in case we go out. But if I do and we end up staying in, I'm sure I could use it in the near future anyway. But stores close early today. Oh the choices and dilemmas going on in my head!

  • My FI is coming home at noon today. I have the day off and a bunch of stuff I wanted to get done, but when he gets home he'll want to start getting ready to head over to the party. And I wasted like 2 hours on the computer this morning. So I have to shower and run errands really quickly.

  • There's no vodka in my iced coffee.

I have to go buy vodka on my lunch break.

    Also. Microsoft Word. Fuck you.
