For the new year

I don't really do resolutions, but I do like to try to get a fresh start on things for the new year.

This year, I am going to start trying to go to the gym more. I am also going to work on my writing every day, even if it's just editing or re-reading. Then, I am going to apply to graduate school.

What fresh starts will you be hoping for this year?

Re: For the new year

  • Baby-making. And all the healthfulness that goes along with that endeavor. :)

Ditto. And being more diligent in my charting of baby making stuff.
  • I'm going to try to actually schedule in more time for self-care, like the gym and massages and reading time.  And go to the gym at lunch and stop freaking out about being unreachable for an hour.

Also, just be less of a bitch.  I'm really mean to Fi sometimes and I need to cut that shit out.

"I'm not a rude bitch.  I'm ten rude bitches in a large coat."

  • I'm going to take better care of myself. Keep this baby healthy. I also want to take more time for myself to read, fix, my nails ect while I still have it.
  • To not be so bossy with my husband. He's been pining over a pickup truck for a year and I've been saying "no. It's a want not a need" but I finally decided to give up and just let him have it.

  • I can work on being a little nicer and have more patience. I'm also hoping to have a healthy and happy baby in July.

Tell the burritos I'll take 'em!
  • For 2015 I really want three things and they kind of domino throughout the year:
    Get more in shape
    Get married
    Buy a house

I can't wait to start life with my FI and get ourselves a bigger place.

  • I am going to eat well, exercise, and pay more attention to my blood sugars so that I can meet the recommended numbers needed for pregnancy. My average blood sugar is too high right now.

  • I wish to get more of my projects done.
    Some of those things are:
    paint the kitchen
    plant my vegetable garden
    tidy up my flower beds
    sewing more quilts
the coasters and ornaments I've had for ages

my FI has 4 project cars and our drive looks like a junk yard. hate it

but resolution for me is to get a new job, move out finally, finish school, and finish planning our june 2016 wedding

  • I want to finish a novel and get an agent. That was my goal for last year; I finished the novel but no one wanted it. So this year my goal is to write a book people actually want!

  • I'm not big into resolutions, but I suppose this year, I want to get my grad school application in and get my round off layout.  And toe touch to back tuck.  I'm sick of training these skills and not being able to do them.  They're both so close.  The layouts I could probably do already, but they're not quite consistent enough for me yet.

  • We've decided to each have two resolutions - one completely selfish and one to benefit us as a couple. My selfish one - take me time and stop trying to please everyone because it's never going to happen. My couple one - transfer money to the savings account on payday so the money isn't there to temp me into buying unnecessary crap.

Yes! A great way to kickstart this is by getting the flu. I'm already down five lbs from Christmas.
  • I was going to try and be more understanding of a co-worker.

Then by 7am  his stupidity came in full force this morning.    That didn't last long.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • I started my "resolution" a few months ago:

I want to carry around more positivity. It was hard for a while because I didn't like my job or my boss, so I got into the habit of just being very negative an complaining. I don't enjoy that. I want to focus more on the positive and really appreciate my life.
  • I want to finish a novel and get an agent. That was my goal for last year; I finished the novel but no one wanted it. So this year my goal is to write a book people actually want!
    Be my noveling buddy?

Get a new job is my #1 goal for this year.  Even if it's a new position in my same company (preferred).

Maybe make a baby.  We'll see.

  • Log 1000 miles (running).
    Find a god damn job.
Stop beating myself up over said job situation.
Reduce the frequency of my Chipotle trips to the point so that when I walk in, they DON'T know me or my usual order.

  • My number one goal, before baby comes, is to destress and generally take care of myself.
  • I want to do better at work.  I've been getting good feedback, but I want to feel more confident in my decisions and not like I'm just deferring to everyone around me.

I do want to be healthier, though I'm really trying to focus on health and not pounds.

I also want to be nicer to FI, and more understanding.  I try to be, especially when it comes to issues with his OCD, but I could do a lot better and be less selfish about things.

And I hope this year to also be starting a happy, healthy, and long-lasting marriage (and have a kick-ass wedding!).
