I'm one drink in! I'll be drunk Knotting soon, but sober Knotting now. Cooking right now for Fi and me. Rack of lamb and white asparagus.

Real-time updates! As I was typing this, Fi walked over to the pan with the asparagus and goes, "These look like dicks. They totally look like dicks! Look at this one, come over here. There's the shaft, and there's the head, and it has a little ridge. Haha. Dicks."

So much for our fancy shmancy dinner. We're eating dicks tonight, ladies.

Wheee, I'm tipsy and I only had a hard cider. All our attempted plans for NYE fell through so we had dinner at a pub and came home. But there's lots of booze here so when I start to sober up again I will have more drinks.

Just beginning, so no drunkenknotting yet. Tried some cranberry sangria, and blech. Too much sugar. Not feeling up to beer. I was saving my Barolo for a good dinner night, but I think I might start on that.

I meant to go to the marijuana store today, but didn't feel up to the drive. Now I'm sorry.

I hid fireworks somewhere. I should try to find them. Wine and explosives are fun.

It's a long time till midnight.

Does anybody else do the first-footer thing at midnight? Where the first person to cross your doorstep brings good luck? It's supposed to be a dark haired male, no idea why. And he has to be carrying things. Bread, salt, wine, silver, and a piece of firewood.

So poor Moosey gets sent outside at 11:58.

If we're loaded, we pretend we don't hear him at the door trying not to drop things.

Well my husband is a dark haired male, and he's working and will be home about 1am. He went to the store on his break, so he'll be carrying bread!

I'm really craving nachos. Like sports bar/pub nachos. I texted my brother and he has the cheese we need, and we have chips, tomatoes, peppers, salsa, etc. Just no cheese here. He lives about 3 minutes away by car and it's just so far at the moment. Can't be bothered to try and go out since it's NYE.

We've killed 2 bottles of wine then a few glasses at dinner. Now we're getting ready fo da club and drinking the free champagne. I'm also drinking a cosmo I made. Which is basically cherry vodka sprite and cranberry juice in a a martini glass. So not actually a cosmo.

Also according to Fi, Chrissie Tiegen's "face is kinda busted." Now I am strongly questioning his judgment. What if he only thinks my face is NOT busted, but his view of busted is totally busted and he's WRONG?
