My night just got a little bit better

So the numbers are light tonight at the restaurant.   So that means I get to stay at home.   WooHoo.

I'm off to the store for some wine and some prepared food to eat.  Then I'm putting on my new VS sweat pants and fleece pull-over DH gave me for xmas for a night watching TV and knotting.

  • Awesome night! I'm coming down with a cold or something. Sore throat, achey body. Getting some soup and herbal tea
  • I was supposed to have a skype date with a friend but I think she forgot. So I guess I will just drink this wine by myself and play video games.

  • That sounds like an awesome night!

FI and I made breakfast for dinner and now we're watching Doctor Who. I picked up some Brie and Humboldt Fog cheeses and a loaf of pumpernickel that we'll snack on in a few when I ready for my wine.

I just de-christmased our place.  Now it's wine time with some sushi.

  • Christmas tree just went out. Cats were eating the needles. Ugh.

FI's friend has not said a fucking peep about coming to check out the kitties like he was supposed to, so I think we're going to have to rearrange.

FFIL really wants a cat (because he has no stake in responsibility and is also only home on the weekends) and has nagged FMIL into testing the waters to see how their dog does with one. They'll be taking Accessories, we'll be keeping Baby No-Name, who will likely be named Butters.

  • i loved when this happened or getting sent home early. no longer work at that place so i dont get the luxury to go home early.

    enjoy you relaxing night!

  • I got off work after an hour. No pants! :)

  • Fi's family came over and we had a very BIG, wonderful dinner.  Now everybody is gone.  FMIL is a saint, she helped so much with cleanup, so there is barely anything to do.

Poor FFIL tried to start his car and it broke down, so he is crashing over here tonight so he can call AAA in the morning and go straight to work on the train from here.  So we're chilling with FFIL, drinking beer, and otherwise hanging out.

The best part is that we have three extra bottles of red wine from dinner tonight.  Score!

  • Home from a wonderful family Christmas at my dad's house. So much fun with the little kiddiemunchkins all running around - four kids between 9mo and 3.5 yo. :)

And approximately a metric fuckton of cheese and wine. Omnomnom. Time for sweatpants.

  • A co-worker gave us a puzzle of Post and General Mills cereal boxes for xmas.   I decided today to start it.    I should take bets how long it's going to take me.  I think it took 1.5 hours just to do the edge.

  • Sounds like an awesome night! BF and I went skating with some friends then out for some beers. Now under some snuggly blankets at home watching Suits!

Julius is the best name for orange kitties.
  • We had people over this afternoon, and it was pretty epic. I made a metric shit-ton of food (which is about 1/2 gone), we had a lot of beer, and an awesome game of Cards Against Humanity. DH fell asleep on the couch while I was washing dishes, and is still there now. Everything is totally cleaned now except for whatever is still going through the dishwasher. I'm drinking mead while Knotting. I'm also contemplating eating more food.

  • I finally got my nachos tonight, in place of dinner.  I'm getting sick of eating out, but I've been too lazy to cook much over the holidays.  Good thing there's leftovers in the fridge too.

We saw Into the Woods tonight, though we weren't overly impressed.  It felt a little long.  We saw The Imitation Game yesterday too and that was an amazing movie.  Ya'll should go see it.

  • My DH and his college roommates named their 2 kittens   D-O-G and The Other One.   I'm pretty sure they were high when the names were given.
