    And?
Since I'm the one that banned her I thought it was nice to share the facts around it rather than have people randomly speculate. If you don't want to know the facts, skip my post.

Yeah did you mean this to sound annoyed or are we just misinterpreting your tone?

I wasn't saying it while rolling my eyes. I was saying it as a matter of fact. I was reading the posts and it seemed like people thought this happened very recently. I was just putting it out there that it wasn't as recent as it may seem.

I took this as "she wasn't banned yesterday, so the probability of lurking 3 weeks later to see if we are finally talking about her probably isn't happening". We ARE just realizing she's gone. I had no clue!

I didn't really mean shes lurking to see if we're talking about her, but just lurking in general.
  • If I ever leave y'all better wonder where I went.
We would send a search party. I need your cooking knowledge and DIY expertise so if you think I'm gonna let you leave, sorry but you are mistaken.

(How creepy stalkerish did that just sound?) :P

    Eventually. ;)
  • 3 weeks is probably a normal time to start wondering. Everyone gets busy for a few days and can't post, but a few weeks for a reg. is abnormal!

Yeah, especially with the holiday craze being over.

  • Why are we giving this person so much attention? She's gone, people seem to not have liked her. We're just giving her the attention she wanted anyway (if she's lurking).

  • We can talk about stickers. Do you like stickers?

  • I'm the one that banned her. She PMed me and asked for an account deletion. I told her to PM Knot Riley to do that, as all I can do is ban. She preferred not to do that and asked me to ban her.

FWIW, she did not ask me to ban her to delete her content. She asked me to ban her because she was stressed about work and her DH's illness and did not want to be tempted to lose focus on her life.

Which is super immature. If she didn't have time to piss around here, then she shouldn't have logged in. . .it's pretty simple. How else does an adult deal with temptation?

This is just so stupid and bizarre.

I probably care more about stickers than an adult should. I even put them on the seal of the envelopes I send to pay bills. But whatev.

I put stickers on all tests my kids write, if the get A's or B's.  Everyone loves stickers on their school work.  My students are 12-14.
lol I'm 28. And not a teacher. I work in clinical research. And when I say stickers, I'm talking about baby monkeys or some other adorable cartoon-y nonsense.

This is true for me also. Addiction comes in many forms.

  • I honestly believe my work computer decided to stage an intervention for me with regards to my knotting obsession. Not three weeks after I got married, the darn thing gives me the "this page cannot be displayed" for basically everything and all things knotting. :-(

It's not been banned by my office server- we have different notification messages for banned or restricted sites. It's just like my computer said "ummm, no, chipmunk, you're married, you're done"

FWP- My computer doesn't understand my need for my internet friends and drinking buddies!!!

Sadly, my cell phone seems to be in on it too- keeps logging me out and being difficult when I try to post. As I'm on holiday today, I'm able to get on here for at least a little while and see you ladies. I feel like I've been on a lonely, sad island and I'm coming back to awesome reality of honest, hilarious women. :-)

There are margaritas in the guest room, right @MagicInk‌ ?

  • It's pretty odd but I've seen it happen before. On another forum I mod a few posters here and there have asked to be banned, to remove the temptation, I guess. We also have a rule over there that a "Goodbye Cruel Board" (we call them FTBs, ahem) post equals an automatic permanent ban, so some people have deliberately made those posts knowing what the result would be. It does smack of immaturity.

I don't post that often but I'm on here all the time so I get the time suck TK can be even without being a reg. But, I can quit any time I want. I'm not addicted, I swear....

Damn! I had a gif but it didn't work... Balls.. Man I'm bad at this. No wonder I don't post often
