Half Up, Half Down Hair Inspiration

I was curious if any brides here have worn their hair half up half down for their wedding? I keep google searching but the half up half down styles there are just not what I'm looking for. I have very long hair, it's about to the middle of my back, and I want something with volume (lots of volume, not afraid of teasing) and not tight to my scalp. Something that looks effortless kind of like a Brigette Bardot type look...

What about something like this?

Have you seen any styles that you liked but just wished that it had more volume/height? If so, then take those pictures in for your trial and tell the hair dresser "I like this style but I want more of it. The more volume the better and I would rather tell you to tone it down then to keep amping it up."

Heck you could even take in a picture of Bridgette Bardot to show your stylist the type of volume you are talking about.

I like that! I think the only thing I might add/change would be to leave some pieces down in the front. I like the soft romantic look, so I think that could definitely work. It may be that I need to take several different pics so we can combine one look.

I love the volume she has in that pic.

And I really like it, I just would rather the hair that is down be curled in like relaxed waves.

I guess I'm mostly afraid of my hair not turning out like the picture. I need to get over that!
