Has anyone gotten a phone call to get a free honey moon?

Hello fellow brides!
I recieved a phone call from a tennessee number that said they were Bridal Registry, and if I came to a show (to try and sell me something), I would get a free pair of champaigne flutes and the choice of either an all-inclusive 3 day, 2 night stay in the Carribean (or some other places they named), a 3day, 2 night stay in the continental U.S. (only paying for hotel and accomidations), or free wedding bands from jvljewelry.com.

I was wondering if anyone has encountered this, and if they did it, how did it turn out?

Thank you!

Yes, it's all lies.  Companies try to take advantage of eager-budget friendly brides.  I wouldn't waste your time going.  If they call back again, I'd say no thank you and ask to be removed from their contact list.
  • I got the same thing if I came to a presentation on knives and flatware, no thank you!!
  • I got the same call and so did my future sister in law. They are such a scam!!! It is so not for real. Don't even bother with whatever it is they want you to do.
  • I got this call too and they were somewhat pushy wanting us to come to the demonstration within the next couple of days.  I'm pretty sure it's just a scam to try to get you to register for overpriced items.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • Yes, and I went to the presentation, and received the call again. You sit through a presentation of cookware and then you can get a free honeymoon 3 days/2 nights. However, when you read the fine print, airfare isn't included, there are blackout dates, and there is a hotel tax fee (or something like that) that is about $80 a night. In my opinion it is not worth it.
(I didn't actually follow thru on calling for the honeymoon so I'm not sure if there are other hassles that may be encountered, though I heard there is a refundable deposit when you make the reservation.)
  • After attending a Bridal Expo earlier this year, I have gotten them constantly.

  • They have been calling me as well. I told them I was busy and couldn't attend. It definitely seemed like a scam to me.
