Guest Book Pen Suggestions?

We ordered a photo book from Shutterfly as our guest book - with no lines for writing, just pages with our engagement photos on them mixed with pages with no photos for signing, kind of yearbook style.

The pages are photo paper (not super shiny or glossy or anything, but not matte) so I'm worried that whatever pen/marker we get is going to smudge as people write.

Does anybody have suggestions for a good smudge-free brand/type of pen or marker that would be good for guestbook writing?

We did a regular sharpie and it turned out great

Yup, what holyguacamole said.

They have pen-style Sharpies that write like a normal pen but have the good, non-smudgy ink of a regular Sharpie.

You could even set out a few different colors:

Another vote for Sharpie/other permanent pen (get fine tip if that's more appropriate). Ballpoint and ink rollers smear easily.

We did a scrap book for our guest book and did Sharpies (metallic colored), and it turned out great. No smudges at all.

We ordered the same kind of guestbook and we are planning to use the metallic sharpies and the finer point sharpies.
