What the hell? I am excited for this weekend and all the people tossing out "debbie downer" "negative nancy" "attack" insults are bringing me down. I hereby vow to not be brought down by these downers today. Nope.

Instead of "everyone's mean"/WAHmbulance Friday, today is now No Drama Friday.

My birthday is next week! Our office gives us a free "birthday day", plus we have the MLK holiday, plus 1 day of vacation used means a 5-day weekend for me! Woohoo!

FI is actually off this weekend. Not even on call. So I'm looking forward to not having to worry about the phone ringing. And wine. Lots of wine. (since he cant drink at all when he's on his 10 days of on call)

Also Monday is the 8 month mark. Wooo!!!

FI is flying home tomorrow and I haven't seen him since Christmas Day! And his birthday is the next day, it will be the first time we've been able to celebrate one of our birthdays on the actual day since we met (4.5 years) Woohoo!

I have my dress fitting tomorrow! It's not the first, but it's the first one where I'll be able to zip my dress and try it on with accessories and maybe a veil, so that's exciting. A friend is coming with me and we're getting brunch before.

I get to sleep in tomorrow! And when I woke up in the middle night it was raining (I love rain and the sound of it while I am trying to sleep). Cuddle weather!

I finally got my new license plates so I can legally drive my car again!! FI and I have been using his and FMIL's cars since my plates expired on my birthday, and as nice as their cars are, I'm just not the biggest fan of how they drive (both Mazda 3s). PLUS I got a cool license plate with a river otter on it that fills me with joy every time I see it.

I also visited two beauty schools this week (basically my only two options here) and I think I've decided on one, provided I can figure out the financial aid aspect of it.

AND Target had an Olay Pro X face scrubbing brush thing on clearance for $21 and it came with a free lip balm that I was super suspect of because I don't typically look good in pinkish / berry tones, but it looks awesome on me!

THIS WEEK IS AWESOME.

Yesterday, the offer I presented to someone to work on my team (help, finally!) was accepted!

I am going to enjoy a slice of pizza this weekend at some point because I love pizza, and a slice will get me into much less trouble than ordering a whole pie.

Changing my diet this week (I called it a cleanse on another board and got my ass chewed out because "cleanses are stupid / bogus") means I no longer feel like shit from holiday sugar spikes- yay for consistent energy again! Bonus: I lost 3 pounds and my pants fit again.

On Sunday, I will be getting married in exactly 9 months! Woo hoo!

I've already celebrated on another thread, but FILs are gifting us videography for the wedding. YAY

Also, FI has been in Dallas all week for work and goes home tonight. We have been riding the struggle bus this week trying to get our schedules aligned to even talk while he's away. I'll be happy to get back to our "normal" schedule.

Lastly, sleeping in tomorrow is going to be glorious. The first week after vaca always sucks so bad. I will make an effort in my wine haze tonight to turn off all alarms.

Finally, there will be a Packer game wherein the will hopefully trounce the shit out of the Cowboys (or, ya know, just win. Please be better, Aaron Rodgers's calf!)

The Notebook was on TV a few days ago. H has never seen it (He generally likes rom coms.) He watched 2-3 minutes of it, said it looks good and asked it we could watch it this weekend. He wants to see what all the hype was about.

It's Friday so my high school students are being so chill right now. Thursday is my friends all day bach party (obvs taking Friday off) and then that Saturday is her wedding + HER AND MY BIRTHDAY!

3 day week followed by 5 days off. I'm not a huge birthday person so it was funny to have birthday plans already made in June. She is my first really good friend to get married and seeing her wedding date on the 10 day forecast made me cry happy tears!

Tonight is a night of baking. I have to learn how to make kolackys. I promised FMIL. I will also make chocolate chip cookies to make up for when my kolackys turn out disgusting. Hahaha. And I'm gonna make a red velvet cake for FFIL with Italian cream icing. Maybe. I really, really want to make a snake cake and decorate it for their local favorite hockey team. But FFIL requested Italian cream.

I'm also tempted to tell them I ran out of time for kolackys and Italian cream since they're both new recipes for me, and then actually PRACTICE them. I don't want to accidentally poison my FILs, since FI is kind of attached to them.

Tomorrow, we go to FILs. We're going to detour to try and walk through a venue in Auburn, and then we're gonna go to see said local favorite hockey team play, and then spend the night.

Sunday, FFIL is being ordained as a deacon in his church, so we'll go to church with them. I haven't been in a church in a very, very long time, except as a paid employee, so I'm hoping I don't get smote. (Smitten? Smited? WTFever.) God doesn't smite me.

Fuh-ri-day! Whoop whoop! This week has DRAGGED!

I had a really good job interview yesterday. Also had a really good one last month with a different place... going to try to follow up with them today and see what's going on (they had said the decision making wouldn't be happening until beginning of the year; I used to work there so I know it can drag). Otherwise excited for a weekend with no big plans!

And as much as it pains me to say this...
