  • Raven also has an obsession with our fleece blankets.

  • This is Rowdy, in his game day gear. He'll be two tomorrow and he's just an adorable little maniac!

my bulldog sleeps in the same leg nook.  Must be a bully thing.

It's that heavy head they need to prop up

yep.  Here he is resting that heavy head on my lap as I'm typing this out.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • I'm loving all the Aussie love!

Huckleberry loves to AW himself. He's shameless.

  • Where are the rabbit owners?  Represent!
Both of these were "rescued" - I think the last four rabbits I've owned were taken from other people who didn't want them anymore.  The brown one is Cocoa.  He was spoiled rotted in a household with four girls who loved him, but a new boyfriend had allergies so they wanted him to go to a good home.  He is quite old for a rabbit - he turned 11 last year.  I'm hoping he'll last as long as my Rimshot who was 14.
The white and brown one is Famine, who I adopted from a shelter when Cocoa's life mate Pestilence died.  Yes, I have a four horseman theme going for names.  Famine acts like she is starving and eats everything in sight.  This is an older picture of her - she's probably at least two pounds heavier now.  Fat as can be!
And I've included a picture of Pestilence, my black lop eared.  She was ill-tempered due to bad treatment, but darn it did I love that rabbit.

  • I love all the fur babies!

This is my old man, Dave:

And Elvis, my future stepdog (FSD? Is that a thing?)

  • The dog is my sister's, Mona.  She's (obviously in this pic) the happiest canine you'll ever meet.  She isn't technically ours but she's the best perk of my sister moving in with us!

The tuxedo cat is our fat boy Jack.  He's huge, loves to eat, and loves to cuddle.  He enjoys sleeping on my face and otherwise being up in my grill.  The little white one is Stella.  She's... more like, actually a cat, and mostly lurks at us from the other side of the room.  But that makes it extra special when she's in a cuddle bug mood.

Oh lordy.  I can never pass up an opportunity to share pics of my pups!  We have two Boston Terriers: seven-year-old Mandy, a rescue; and ten-month-old Velcro.  The loves of my life (besides H, ha!).  And everyone makes fun of Velcro's crooked eyes, but I think it just makes her cuter!

  • Heeeeeere's Willy! Chinese Crested hairless. He's my naked baby; I adopted him from a rescue 3 years ago. He mostly sleeps all day and loves to be the little spoon. He normally wears fleece pajamas in the winter. And Bryn, H's black and white English Pointer/Lab mix. She looks like a cow and acts like a puppy, and insists on being near you/underfoot at all times. She sees ghosts, chases reflections, and licks the carpet. She's also perfected the "pay attention to me" stare-down. Willy is 8 and Bryn is 4.

  • Here's my furbaby Melo. We rescued him in July. He's a Yorkie/terroir mix and approximately 2 years old. Melo is named after Carmelo Anthony so obviously he's a big Knicks fan like his dad. He's also a Jets fan like his momma. Melo loves to play, go bye byes in the car, and will be a big brother in July. Here are a few pics of him:

  • My baby, Java. I adopted him when he was 12 weeks and they were getting ready to take him to the shelter if nobody took him. He is the most snugly, affectionate, hyper kitty ever. Love.

    I don't know why these won't rotate...turn your head sideways :)
  • The one in the Santa hat is Tooter. I just love the look on his face here. The pic on the pillow is Tooter with his brother, Tucker. They are chihuahua mixes. They are "big", each weighing about 20 lbs.
  • This is Raider Goose! He's my little boy and I love him with mommy love! Raider is 1 1/2 years old and I know it was fate to have him - I used to dream about a little black terrier. Hes a shih tzu/yorkie mix but I think he's actually something else. We also nicknamed him goose because he has a collapsed trachea and "honks" sometimes if he gets too exerted. He is potty trained to both potty pads and outside, and his favorite activities include chasing his ball and tire down the stairs, hiding just his head under the bed, and of course snuggling with his mommy and daddy.

  • Here's my buddy Maverick! He's a 2 (ish) year old mostly lab mutt. FI calls Mav my defective dog because he is scared of the dark, boxes, and the scent of oranges. Haha. He's pretty cute though. :)
  • We want a dog really bad. But for now, we only have this 9 year old fattypants named Kitty.

@smiledamnit the funny thing is the day I got her in college, my best friend came over and we searched the internet for HOURS for a good name and still never came up with one!

Ha! We tried to give him the proper name of "Barkley", but it never took so Kitty it was and Kitty it is (…sometimes, if we are feeling very formal, it's Black Kitty).

  • Love all the fur babies!

Fred Jackson is my little man. H is a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan and he got to name the pup. The first pic is from the day I brought him home - he was about 3 months old. Three months later and he's gotten so big! He's also SO not a fan of wearing his little coat.

Your H's pup sounds almost identical personality wise to our Lab/English Setter mix!  Total spaz, and needs constant loving and attention!  He's a lover though, and is so good with our toddler (although does have his jealous moments)

His name is Pabst, and is a little over 3 years old.

The first pic is as a puppy when he reminded me of a cow (disregard FI's old nasty shoes for mowing int he corner)

Second one, with FI... he definitely is a daddy's boy!

  • All of the babies are adorable! Can't pass up putting pics of m little up here! This is Kali, she was found on Craiglist as a "oopsies, we have no idea what she is" pup and *brag* is probably the best dog ever! Big dog in a little package.. the first pic is her snowshoeing with us, the second is her making friends far too big for her!

  • This is our 2 year old pit/rottie mix, Brando, rescued from south LA. He loves dogs and children, but not puppies. He ignores them. His favorite games are getting hosed down and having a blanket thrown on him. He catches balls before they hit they ground. And the best part is that he JUST became a cuddler! Love him!

  • I love all of these cuties!

    Here are mine:

This is Bailey. She is the most spoiled dog in the entire world and I wouldn't have it any other way.

    image

And this is Zillie. The ninja cat. She tries to ride Bailey like a horse. She is also the softest and most cuddly kitty I've ever met.
