Do you just blurt out in the middle of convo?

Ok so I'll be in the middle of a convo and suddenly an idea just pops up and I blurt it out, not even second thinking it, it's about the wedding but we could be talking about something not even related.

  • No. My manners are better than that. If it's not related to the conversation, why would I blurt it out?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

Why don't you just make a note of it on your phone? Then you'll have it without being rude to others.
  • Usually it's while I'm on the phone I know I should carry notebook and write it down instead. Some days are worse then others.
  • Convo is not a word. Conversation is.

You can't wait three seconds for them to finish their sentence? For real?
  • Is this a medical condition that makes you do this, OP?

I have thoughts that jump in my head while other people are speaking all the time but I wait to say them once the person is finished speaking, generally.
  • I mean, in a very casual conversation with friends, yes I have my moments, but generally, I let people finish. It's annoying when people cut you off.

  • Excuse me for being me but I'm over all this on here, I'll figure it out on my own, thanks for making me feel like shit. I guess I'll screw my wedding up on my own. Thanks for nothing and pointing out my flaws which I already knew where there.

  • What was the point of this post?
  • I've friends whom I have to interject in suddenly in a conversation, but they have a lack of manners and tend to ignore attempts to make a point, suggest an idea, etc.

But generally, I'd wait for a pause and say "excuse me, I had this thought, and wanted to know what you think."

DH and I have a tendency to cut each other off. We respond to one another by saying "Please let me finish my thought/If you'd have let me finish, I would have said what you just said/I wasn't done, may I please finish my comment/idea/thought?"

Nope, I don't talk about wedding stuff unless someone asks, and I try my best never to cut someone off or blurt out something completely unrelated.  Also, I'm confused how this went south so quickly, honestly you've gotten tons of nice responses in other posts.

  • I would not long be friends with someone who kept interrupting unrelated conversations with random wedding thoughts.
  • Um...sometimes yes I kind of do. Like if I'm talking with wifey about what to have for dinner and something she says reminds me of a story I wanted to tell her I'll be all "Oh remind me to tell you about this guy who came in the shop today. Now I think we should have pork chops" but I don't just change the topic for my random thought. And it's not all the time with everyone.

But also I have add and this is one of the things that comes with it. I actively try to fix it.
  • I have a bad habit of interrupting people since I want to keep my friends, it's a bad (note the bad part) habit I actively work on not doing.

  • OMG HEY YOU GUYS did I ever tell you about my rehearsal dinner?!?
