Hey! I'm starting to make a list of items and prices for my welcome bags. I'm looking for a good price on small sunscreens to include for our guests who may not realize its pool season or really bright/hot outside in Vegas (our destination wedding). Has anyone purchased any at a good deal?
I'm confident your guests can pack toiletries. The more stuff you put in a welcome bag, the more stuff they have to pack home or throw away. Many people, like me, try to pack a small wheeled case to put in an overhead bin. I don't have space in my quart-size ziploc bag for extraneous liquids to carry home. I'd end up throwing away the sunscreen. If you haven't purchased things like this, you may want to spend the money on something they'll remember...like a signature drink, open bar, better food, passed appetizers, etc.
@atlastmrsg as someone who works in a hotel in Florida I can say confidently that many people do not bring along sunscreen. As well, Welcome Bags are particularly helpful when it comes to Destination Weddings moreso because of the information the OP can place in it. That's awesome you think ahead and do research on where you're going ahead of time, but some people forget the little things like sunscreen.
OP, I would hit up the dollar store.
i was able to get these at christmas tree shops for 49 cents a piece for our welcome bags. they were a huge hit! that store is a good place for welcome bag items in general. we got everything there and at BJ's.
I included these in our welcome bags as well and got compliments on the sunscreen specifically! I don't think my OOT guests realized that Southern California in late October is basically... still Southern California. I got the generic Target brand and I think they were $98/each in the travel aisle.
If anyone is looking for this, I found something that works for my destination wedding. It'll be lighter to take with me, and smaller, and it was cheaper!
Re: Cheap sunscreen for welcome bags???
