Yes! I got some mixed drink on it and when I washed it and bleached it, it came out dingy looking.

My bathing suit (that I got while on the honeymoon because I forgot my bathing suits, all of them) was navy and white and I washed it with darks (because it is mostly navy) and now the white part is pinkish...whoops.
Derf. I hate things like that. Although I wash EVERYTHING in cold water and it helps a little bit. but dammit I hate feeling like the laundry fail in the detergent commercials.
I do too...I don't know what happened. Oh well, luckily it was only $20. But I loved it!

Oh yeah I'm going to try to dye a dress this weekend. It was the BEST "summer wedding guest" dress in the BEST dusty aqua color EVER and it got red wine spilled all over it by some drunken wedding guests. I bleached it already and now I'm hoping a nice deep purple will cover the lingering stains... we shall see.
Let me know how it works, @lolo883. I have a white bathing suit cover up that I loved but it got stained and I'm think of dying it.
Ughhhh that reminds me I have a bathing suit to dye too! SO MAD. I bought the cutest ruffled white bikini to take on our honeymoon, but when I packed it to leave cities the hot pink bikini must have still been a little wet or something, and the pink one stained the white one. HOW THE HELL ARE YOUR BATHING SUITS NOT MADE COLOR-SAFE, VICTORIA'S SECRET?! All my shit's gonna be purple now.

    I'll let you know, @emmaaa!

Have fun!  I love dying things, but it's almost always a science experiment. At some point, I always get excited and forget my rubber gloves and dye my hands gray or green or some diseased looking color.

Love love love for the iDye line of dyes. Their color remover kicks ass. It might well save the ruffled bikini.
  • Thank you everyone! And Happy Birthday @blabla89!!

I predict lots of drinking in my future.

  • Happy birth day  @lablove86 and @blabla89!

My weekend is going to be a combination of things.

I have class and work today but after 4:00 PM, I'm done for the day! This semester is going to kick my butt. I have some volunteers for the museum but I need more. So I'm going to spend today and some of next week looking. After class and work I'm going to do laundry and watch silly mvies like 13 going on 30!

Saturady, a boys camp is coming to the museum so that will be fun.. After that I'm goin to buy V's valentines present and we are going to run errands. He needs better boots for a geology class. I'm also going to drop off my winter gear in my office so I don't have to keep bring it to school.

Sunday, I'm not sure what we are going to do. I'll most likely study and work on extra credict for one of my classes. Next sunday is the Superbowl and I'm excied! Go Seahawks!

  • Nothing too eventful going on tonight... thinking pizza and movie night with the FI and little man!

Saturday - bachelorette party (I'm not a member of the BP) at a local dueling pianos bar! It's always a fun atmosphere, and the bride has asked that no penis paraphernalia are involved, so should be a good time!

Sunday - recovering, doing a whole lot of nothing... and possibly taking our son to the local Art Museum - they have a cool Lego display of Columbus right now!
  • Tonight - cross-stitching, possible Walmart run, making a gorgeous lager-marinated London broil for dinner

Saturday - sleeping late, working on the now so-large-it-is-unwieldy wedding scrapbook (seriously, it's almost 200 pages), eating ALL THE LEFTOVERS

Sunday - grocery shopping, vacuuming, belated bday dinner, and laundry.

Such an exciting weekend planned. heh

  • Happy Birthday to @LabLove86‌ and @blabla89‌ !!

Tonight after work I'm trying out a new recipe. Loaded Baked Potato and Chicken casserole. Yum!! This will be followed by some of my lighter homework, a bottle of wine and whatever I feel like watching and meal planning.

Tommorow I'm going grocery shopping, and some meal prep. Plus cleaning the apartment while blasting tunes and some more alcohol. Why should I clean completely sober?

Sunday I will be doing the majority of my homework.

Happy birthday, birthday girls (and boy)! @lablove86 @blabla89 and ETA Mr. @gustafson28

Friday night - FI's working, of course. I'm going to try and find a replacement blender carafe at some of the thrift stores in the area. My blender is part of a 1970s model Kitchen Center and I knocked the carafe out of the cabinet onto my pinky toe and broke it (the carafe, not my toe) last night. I'm hoping for plastic, the damn prick in my toe bled for a freaking hour last night. And then I'm going to make a cake, I think, and decorate it with the hockey mascot.

Saturday - Going to FILs' house. Some of their hockey friends offered us their tickets for this weekend, and since FI's not working Sunday, we're gonna go! Hence the hockey cake.

Sunday - Church with FILs. Maybe we'll talk to their pastor about maybe being our officiant. My brother did say he wanted to marry us, but I'm like 57% sure he's all talk, and 99% sure he can't unless he actually gets for-real church ordained or somehow manages to become a Judge. So.

I really want to get moving on wedding stuff but it's stressing me out so I keep putting it off. I really do not care what happens at this point so long as FI and a person who can legally marry us in the State of Alabama (or Florida or Georgia or Tennessee or Nevada or wherever the hell else we end up) is there. My mom keeps saying that since I'm the bride we should have it here where I'm from, except I hate this place. We wouldn't terribly mind having it in FILs' church, except there's not a restaurant, bar, or hotel within a 45 minute drive. And it seems like the place we both really WANT to have it, can't be pulled together without burning workdays to go down and physically grab the strings, and I don't get PTO.

  • Spend as much time with FI as possible! He heads out on monday back to our home town for 5 days! He's heading down for some appointments, but he's also going to get some random wedding stuff done, like looking into cost of purchasing alcohol.

Its been unseasonably warm up here for the last two weeks so we will probably get in a couple of winter hikes. Seriously the first week of january it was -44C, and its currently +5C. Its so bizzare.

Also we really want to go see The Imitation Game. We didn't think our small town theatre would show it but its on the schedule finally for this weekend.

  • Tonight: I may be going out with my FMIL and BMs (FI's sisters) to go clothes shopping. We haven't done a fashion day in a while so it'll be fun if it happens!

Tomorrow: I'll be preparing for my interview on Monday; probably experimenting with cookie recipes for favors too.

Sunday: Preparing for the big interview, refreshing my skills in the computer program they want me to use, and laying out my outfit and portfolio. Maybe I'll watch a Netflix movie too sometime to try and relax.

I looked this up for somebody who was looking to have a non-church wedding in Alabama and you have to get a judge to do it. No other options besides church person or judges.

  • Happy birthday  @lablove86 and @blabla89!

It's restaurant week here, so tonight we're going to a steakhouse with a great 3-course menu.

Tomorrow, it's MOAR CAKE TASTING!  Unfortunately, I've recently realized that things like bread, pasta, rice, and cake give me horrible aches in my lower belly parts, so I'm a little conflicted about that.

Sunday we are going to a birthday for a one-year-old, and the baby is a total miracle baby so that's really exciting.

Ha! It's only because I'm cheap. And the dress was discontinued. :)

Yep. Good news is, Bossman knows quite a few judges (including his brother), so if I have to go the judge route I got the inside line.

  • Today I had class and then I came home and studied and took puppy to the dog park. DH is chaperoning a middle school dance. Hopefully everybody's leaving room for Jesus.

Tomorrow I am having my milionth appointment and will hopefully be bearing a brand spanking new diagnosis of ADHD. It's been a long time coming and now that I'm a nursing student I'm worried that it's going to make me kill someone, so it's about time I get on some fun meds. If the clinic tries to drag it out anymore I don't know what I'll do because it's been like 6 appointments at $100+ a pop and my insurance sucks.

Sunday idk more studying. Maybe I'll ride my horse or something. I should probably pick up a shift at work but nah.

  • This weekend I'm watching tv, reading, sleeping and snuggling with my cats and dog. That is it.

Have to do housework tomorrow need to get my house ready to put on the market before the summer and the wedding

Sunday going to a bridal fair

  • Lots of birthdays, I love it! Happy Birthday weekend, you guys!

I hope you don't have to deal with too much sailing buddy bullshit, climbing. @lolo883 I want you to please come be my personal chef. Annd maybe make me/dye me a mint green dress that I need to figure out as a soon-to-be bridesmaid. Pretty please?

@chibiyui‌ congrats you are almost to the end of the tunnellll!

@mrsdee15‌ are you in San Diego? I hit Farmers Bottega on Wed for restaurant week. It was pretty good but I don't think it was really a deal compared to their regular menu.

Tomorrow I am doing training through the library for being a volunteer who teaches literacy to adults. I had orientation last night and I'm pretty sure this experience is going to completely change my life. I'm nervous and really excited. Sunday I am going on a long ass hike with a friend. (Long for me is like 14 miles) There's something about getting out into the middle of nowhere and hiking that completely de-stresses me.

  • Working, as usual, during the day on Saturday.  Then, I'm going to a dance thing with some girlfriends, which will be so much fun.  H will be working on Saturday too, and then probably doing homework in the evening while I'm gone.

Then, on Sunday, I really don't know what we're going to do. Probably sleep and him cramming in homework and then who knows.  I don't know what we'll be doing on Monday either. We got Expendables 3 on DVD, so we'll be watching that one of the evenings. Our weekends lately are just relaxing and sleeping after long tiring work weeks with opposite schedules. We're both burned out with our jobs.
  • Friday- we had the lady who officiated our wedding over for dinner, along with her younger brother. Dinner was delicious, and everyone had a good time.

Saturday- I have to do readings for class tomorrow night, laundry, clean the kitchen, and work out. I want to go to a local running store and get better measured for a pair of running shoes and orthotics, as I've figured out I seriously under pronate, particularly with the left foot. I also want to paint and do some other relaxing type activities. DH will likely play video games.

Sunday- I've got class in the evening, but I don't know what else we will do. Tomorrow would have been BIL's 28th birthday. I want to have some kind of plan in place in case DH needs to get out of the house, but it is his call on what to do.
  • We were planning on doing our STD photos this morning, but the weather is gloomy so we're holding off. FI is working today and tomorrow again, so I'll be doing laundry and hanging with the dogs.

  • Cheer.  All damn weekend.  My 2 school teams are competing, and my 2 adult teams I cheer on are competing.  And 2 practices Sunday.  And I'm injured and hate one of my teams, so should make for fun times.  I think DH is going to get some COD time in.  It's double XP weekend he's informed me.

Last night we went for steak and played cards with my family.  Lost almost $.50 in Rummoli, but since I made off with almost $2 last time, I suppose I was due up for a loss.

  • Hello, I figured I'd jump into this thread as our plans this weekend are a bit unusual. Tonight we are having dinner with FI's ex-girlfriend's (of 3 years) parents...who are invited to the wedding. Slightly unusual, yes, but I would say I'm looking forward to it. Met them once in Oct. during a casual run-in & they seemed great & very happy for us. They are apparently great people & well known around town so it should be a good night.

I anticipate tomorrow morning we'll do brunch at one of our Nola regular spots, followed by a lengthy phone call to Momma downloading the details of tonight ;)

Requisite trip to Sak's, hair & nail salon to commence in T-minus 8 mins.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekends, and the snow if you got it. Wish me luck tonight!
  • Last night H got back from a work trip, so we just had some pizza, watched some TV and had some sexy times.

Tonight H wants to have a "practice Valentine's day." I think he's trying to make up to me that he has to go on two more work trips in the next two months, the last one I'm a little worried about, because it's not far from my due date. Anyway, I think we'll probably go out for a nice dinner.

Sunday I'm having a tea party with some of my friends. So at some point I need to go grocery shopping so I can make finger sandwiches and scones!

I just got back from an X-Games event.   Ski slopestyle mens final.  So many crashes, one guy was taken off via a stretcher.     It was fun though.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • I've been sleeping a lot today. I've stayed up long enough to watch a movie and eat.
  • Chicken stew is simmering on the stove (plus a mushroom version for the vegetarian friend), dumplings to go on next, friends will be here soon. One of the couples got engaged last night so I'm excited for lots of squeeeeeing! I even chilled some bubbly.

  • I am doing something I never expected: Sitting in front of the sliders window with springlike sun so strong that I had to change to a sleeveless tee and shorts, hot sun on the body.

Was it really ten below zero two weeks ago? Was it actually snowing at 8:30 this morning? Sunshine. Warmth. Bliss.
