First Anniversary is Sunday! Cake question...

I can't believe we are already at our first anniversary!!!

How "bad" would it be to break into the top tier a few days early?  LOL

    Happy nearly anniversary. 

    I'm sorry, when is cake not a good idea? Like, NEVER.

    Yes I eat cake, Sam-I-am. I would eat cake from a can. I would eat cake in a car. I would eat cake near or far. I would eat cake with Chinese. I would eat it on my knees!

    Dry and no flavor, you say? That's what ice cream is for.

    I mean really, this sounds like a good excuse to eat cake now and then require more celebratory cake on the anniversary. 

    And if you've fallen on hard times, then I know a place...


    ETA: I meant Chinese food. I'm not sure if other people use that short hand, but I definitely didn't mean anything untoward...

    So I texted DH that we can break the cake out tonight if he wants to.  He had already gotten it out of the freezer this morning.  LMAO

    So I guess we are having cake tonight.  :)

    Neither one of us can remember which of our two flavors the top tier was.  We had creamsicle (orange cake with vanilla filling) and chocolate cake with peanut butter filling.

    I didn't get to try this on our wedding day, but the tasting was delicious!  The vanilla butter cream had a hint of orange in it to.  I'm torn about which flavor I want the cake to be, chocolate and peanut butter is my all time favorite combo, but the creamsicle was so good!!!

    I was going to say we aren't saving it. FI has a wheat allergy so our top tier is our only tier, and since it will most likely taste like garbage it will be garbage immediate. We weren't even going to do a cake but my mom freaked out and forced us to have one by paying for it.

    The cake was in my parent's deep freezer until Christmas.  Then it was in our garage freezer (not a deep freeze) so it wasn't in the way.  :)

    If it had been in our freezer we would have broken down and eaten it by now.  We've both brought it up randomly throughout the year.  lol

    Yum! We weren't able to save any cake. But we did get to share the top tier with all of our guests a few days after the wedding when we all ended up in Jasper so that was cool. I wanted to save it but after camping and hiking for two weeks no way would that thing be safe to eat.

    Thanks @soontobesyp !  We just did a remodel this summer.  It was super stressful but worth it!  We both love the new kitchen.

    We saved it, but didn't eat it. I suspect my mom and sister might have eaten it, they were threatening to do so a month after the  wedding. Freezer cake isn't my thing.
