It's finally here, it's finally FRIDAY!

I am sooooo excited for this weekend but sad that @GoldenPenguin can't make it

I'm leaving work early and picking up @csousa1's sister at the airport around 230. @Hummingbird125 will be arriving by 5. @buddysmom80 and @csousa1 will be arriving by 7. There will be booze, snacks, puppy and kitten snugs, CAH, and Heads Up involved in our evening.

Tomorrow morning I have my 2nd WW meeting early (fingers crossed, I'm nervous!) and then I'll go home and make brunch for my lovely guests! We're going to relax and snuggle all day and there'll probably be at least one trip to Wawa.

Tomorrow night we're going into NYC for dinner and drinks to celebrate @csousa1's birthday!

On Sunday, I'm hoping that everyone gets snowed in at my house so I can keep them. The Walking Dead is Sunday night and I'm making crockpot pulled pork for dinner

I'm just so happy this weekend is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P&R, time to get ready for work.

TGIF! Hopefully I can finally be all caught up (& ahead) at work where I'm supposed to be today. They keep pulling me to train other people and work in other offices so some of my non-essential duties have been neglected.

Tonight we're taking FSS, FSD & her bf to a local hockey game.

Last night we took the kids out to dinner. When we were getting up to leave, he gives FSD a hug and whispers something in her ear. She ran over and gave me a big hug and says "Congratulations! That's so exciting! Can I go dress shopping with you?" FSS gave me a big hug and was all smiles. He's only 11, so it took him a minute to figure out what was going on (FI told him the same thing he'd told FSD, which was "She said 'Yes'." After we all left they both sent congratulations/so happy for you dad texts and FSS asked if he could be the best man

@WildMagelet - How sweet!! Have fun tonight at the hockey game.

I am only here until 11:00. Then I have a(nother) doctor's appointment, and I need to run some errands. I dropped off some things I ordered from ThredUp to be altered so I want to pick those up this afternoon, and then I need to do a huge grocery shop. Our fridge and pantry is getting bare!! I brought a PBJ in my purse to eat sometime while I'm running errands, and I think I have some baby carrots at work and an apple.

Today's work out is PiYo Sweat, yay! I did Strength Intervals and Lower Body last night. My heels were just about to touch the floor yesterday, so I think my goal of getting them to touch by March is in sight!!

Tonight we're going over to our friends' house for dinner. She's making orange chicken and a winter citrus salad and homemade rolls, and WHISKEY CAKE for dessert. Supposedly it's the original recipe from Whiskey Cake in Plano, TX. YUM I CAN'T WAIT.

Tomorrow I'm going to a chalk painting class with my mom and then stopping by to see my grandma and great-aunt. That evening we have a business meeting at church and then our first rehearsal for the music in the wedding I'm doing next weekend.

It'll be a busy weekend!

I'm so jealous of @swazzle, @csousa1, @hummingbird125 and @buddysmom80's weekend!!

Tonight I am packing (more on that in a minute), doing some last minute bday present shopping, and having wine in front of the fire with a girlfriend.

I'm flying to Nashville tomorrow to surprise my bestest BFF for her 40th birthday. I cannot wait! Then Sunday I fly to New Orleans for work. But 'work' consists of networking, meeting new people, and learning more about race/marathon registration websites, which is totally up my alley. Plus I get to see a college GF and eat yummy food. Not a bad work trip at all!

Working today and sore and tired. Dog was up for hours last night barking/howling. It started with abulances and then anything set him off after that. H and I worked out last night together which was fun. I did Spin for the third day in the row so I think I'm giving Spin a break today and just doing an interval class instead. I can really tell the working out and the eating right/not drinking during the week is working. Haven't weighed myself but my clothes fit great.

Sunday is the anniversary of my Dad's death so my family is all getting together for a rememberence on Saturday due to everyone's conflicting schedules. We are going to eat some of his favorite foods, talk about him together and visit his grave so I'm sure Saturday will be full of both tears and laughter.

Sunday H and I are cooking dinner for ourselves and I'll prep dinners for the week. We are also hitting the gym together again (me for Spin, him for weights).

Good morning everyone and HAPPY FRIDAY! I am so excited it's Friday because my DH is coming home today from a work trip. I have painting the nursery and baseboards in my future this weekend so nothing super exciting but I'm ok with that because I cannot wait to get started on the baby's room.

@minskat30 - Glad to hear you're starting to feel the results! Feeling good is far more important that what the scale tells you.

I am SO HAPPY that it's Friday! With the exception of my snow day on Monday this week has been sucky. I am so tired of being sick and my stomach is getting irritated with the antibiotics and I am just done.

Tonight FI and I are supposed to go out for dinner with his parents. We're going to go, but my appetite is almost non-existent today so we'll see about actually eating. After that we're just going to find a movie at home and I am going to fall asleep on the couch.

Tomorrow I have a meeting for the camp board that I'm on. I'm going to bail if I don't feel better though; I have no desire to sit in someone else's living room all day trying to be productive if I'm still feeling crappy. FI has a hockey game tomorrow night so I'm probably going to that.

Sunday is church and possibly going to the house to take measurements and stuff...if the owner EVER gets back to our agent. Driving me crazy. Otherwise we'll just hang out and probably talk about some wedding ceremony stuff that our officiant gave us this week. All in all, hopefully a quiet weekend, which is exactly what I need!

Happy Friday!

Tonight FI is gaming. He's gaming all day tomorrow, too. I'm doing laundry, cleaning, and working on invites. Sunday I don't know what we're doing yet.

I'll probably also work more on my seminar if I can build up a little more motivation. And I can write another chapter of my dissertation. I'm so behind at work (again) that it will follow me home. Maybe we'll shop President's Day furniture sales. Some of them are apparently already running. We still need a loveseat.

And I need more sleep and/or cocoa for sugary goodness waking up this morning. I didn't sleep well.

@Swazzle - Honestly, I doubt you were as bad as I ever was....my family all drinks with dinner (wine) and I've been in that habit since I was about 14 (and I'm 33 now). A glass turned into two, turned into three very easily. I knew I could quit if I got preggers but I was happy I could do it during the week without that driver. I still slip up for a work event during the week or for an extremely stressful day but its a work in progress. I think it was boredom more than anything else on normal days. I just need something to fill my time with that I enjoy (exercise, drinking tea, reading).

So yesterday my day was filled with babies. Both of my nieces are doing great, as is my best friend.

Today is my sister's birthday. Her husband is taking her out tonight so I'll just spend time with her over the weekend. Tonight I'm meeting my bf at the house so we can continue getting the remodeling done. I'll probably spend most of this weekend at the house so that we can start getting ready to paint. I also need to go to fabric stores to price out how much fabric would be to make curtains.

I have training this afternoon for my promotion. The downside with the new job is that I'm not going to be able to spend as much time on here during the day.

I'm in an awful grumpy mood, I'm not even going to get into it for fear of crying at work. I'm exhausted and I just want to sleep. I am looking forward to the weekend though. I've got a lot of rehearsal, but tomorrow afternoon is my goddaughter's 1st birthday. I'm so excited for it. Tonight I have a eye doctor's appointment after work in my home town and then relaxing. Then Sunday is more rehearsal and The Walking Dead.

I'll be trying to not jump off a bridge this weekend. On top of the nearly 10 grand that this water issue is costing me, I now have to drop another $600+ to get my car to pass inspection.

I officially give up on life.

@CocoBellaF I love Whiskey Cake! We used to live across the street from the restaurant, and it was always really tempting to run in there for some cake. Mmmm delicious. Let me know if the recipe is any good! Also, congrats on getting closer to your PiYo goal! That's awesome!

Work is actually busy today, plus we're all getting kicked out at 4:30 for server maintenance. Woohoo! This may be a P&R because I want to be super productive this morning.

Tonight FI and I are meeting some friends for dinner and then watching a movie with them at someone's house (haven't figured that out yet). Very low key, but I'm really looking forward to it. Tomorrow we need to run a few errands (including setting up a joint bank account! eek!), and so far we have no plans for tomorrow night. One of my older brothers keeps saying he's potentially coming to town for a Comic Con thing, but apparently he hasn't figured out yet if he is for sure coming. I'm trying to leave some time open to see him since I normally only see my older brothers at Thanksgiving. I'm hoping he finalizes his plans today.

FI is being all romantic and sweet. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was about to propose.

lol Yesterday he brought home daisies "just because," and today he said he wants to try and make reservations at Ruth's Chris for Valentine's Day. I doubt we'll be able to get in that weekend, but we could always go for our anniversary the following weekend. I'm not sure what he's got up his sleeve, but I'm definitely enjoying it

I'm on my phone so it's super hard to write back to everyone. Sorry for being selfish. I hope you ladies have a fabulous G2G and the rest of you have an awesome weekend!

I stayed home the last two days because I was being too active with my dog and bleeding a lot more than I should have been (doctor confirmed). So today I am on the couch.

I'm kind of freaking out. I have a sister with two awesome daughters that I haven't been close to the last few years because she decided to take the side of a brother that has been pretty terrible toward my family. Well, I am trying to get back into the lives of my nieces so I'm going to the birthday party for one of them tomorrow. My brother will be there, most likely with his twin daughters. I haven't seen him or those girls since they were newborns, and they're 6 now! I am really thinking that when I see them I will cry. They won't even know who I am! Any advice? How the fuck do you introduce yourself in a situation like that?

So many celebrations this weekend!

We have a packed schedule again this weekend, and I am already exhausted.

Tonight, M has HH and I have GS until like 11. We're going roller skating, and I will not be skating as I don't want to fall on my ass and hurt myself.

Tomorrow, I have my normal run, followed by brunch. I need to rush home, shower, do my hair, and then we're going shopping, we need to pick up our race packets, and then M is dropping me off at a friend's house. We are getting ready and then heading out to a Pure Romance party, and then I'm meeting up with M and a bunch of other people after to see Craig Ferguson at the Warner Theater.

Sunday, we have a 5K early, and then my co-leader is coming to pick up the bed that we've had in our storage unit for ages. It'll be really nice to get rid of it so that we can start using the space again. I feel like there's something else on the calendar for Sunday, but I can't quite put my finger on it...

And now I need a nap after looking at my life. Ugh.

@minskat30 H and I have given up weekday drinking too. For the most part we're successful unless like you, I have an evening event....or like last night when I really just felt like a glass of wine (plus there was only a little left in the bottle after I had used some for cooking). But I felt a lot like you did, one drink easily turned in to two drinks, and it really was just too much...plus the amount of wine and beer we were going through was ridiculous. I don't really feel "better" or different, but I'm glad we're doing it.

Not much going on for me today. I don't know if I mentioned it here or not, but my mom took Cheyanne to the vet yesterday. She has some sort of cancer, probably lymphoma, and she's been having some symptoms this week that have really been bothering her. She's much worse today and won't be able to start the new meds the vet gave her for a few more days because of other conflicting meds. It just feels like Cheyanne is on a fast track downhill...and while she doesn't seem to be in pain or suffering much, it's still hard to watch. Her behavior has been regressing too, she's been acting more aggressive and less coordinated, like she was when we first brought her home (she's adopted and has multiple health problems) so I think the cancer has probably spread significantly.

Otherwise H and I just plan to take advantage of the nice weekend we're supposed to have do some yard work. I feel like taking a break from the wallpaper project for a few days. We have lots of winter lawn clean up to catch up on and we want to talk about plotting out a sprinkler system for the sod we'll get in April. On Saturday night we're meeting with another couple for sushi.

Here are a couple of my Pinterest inspirations and a picture I took of some paint samples that I am using just for color ideas. I have a dresser that I want to refinish and paint in the middle color which is a very light mint color.

@alpacina Since for them it will be the first time meeting you, just say "Hi I'm your Aunt Alpacina, it is so nice to meet you!" Then just show them how much of a fun and awesome aunt you are, and I'm sure they'll play and have fun with you.

labro Oh no! Poor Cheyanne. Her regression may be her way of showing signs of pain. Hopefully she is able to take the medication soon and it helps calm her down.

@speakeasy14 That's a good point. She is already on pain medication for her arthritis, and we thought the behavior changes were due more to the loss of my parent's other dog last year. Bella was definitely the pack leader and it kept Chey Chey in check and now without leadership she's been going back to her old ways.
