  Perhaps opt for the burgandy vest/tie and keep the suit black or gray. Only things can think of is some store that was like S&K menswear or K&M or something like that

  Mt date showed up in a burgundy suit in 1973.  It clashed with my red dress, so I changed before we went out!

  I agree that you might want to rethink this.  Burgundy suits or tuxes look incredibly dated.   Go with a classic black or charcoal, with a burgundy tie.
