@blackbird230 The second picture was right after he proposed

It was sunset so the light wasn't great for pictures so I turned my flash on to get the colour to pop. It is still one of my favourite ring pictures!

I have an Etsy aquamarine.

The true colour is somewhere between the two photos. I picked it out as I don't wear diamonds for a couple different reasons.

I just got engaged last Friday night. My fiance (SQUEE!) bought me the most beautiful sapphire claddagh ring! We're both Irish, and dream of living there some day, so the ring is perfect!

Plus, no need for a second ring/wedding band, just turn it around!

I don't have my ring yet due to extreme financial issues (fine by me, it's just something that i'm hoping for before the wedding), but we plan on using each other's birthstones. His ring is a nice citrine ring, i bought his around a month ago. And mine will be sapphire. I always thought diamonds were a little boring. I mean not to be against those that have them- great! they just aren't my thing exactly.
