It's a balmy 5 degrees here in Philly, and I am stuck at work where they *say* the heat works, but my fingers are still numb (giant building, no ceiling for an "industrial look", tin roof and tons of windows. I don't think they could heat this monster to a reasonable temp even if they did try).

Got in trouble for filling out a report wrong, so have to go back through all of January and re-collect the data, do the report over. But that means I've been doing February's wrong as well, so I'm nipping that in the bud.

Plus, there's a holdover of us being in trouble from Saturday for leaving a kid without a ride (which, well, the ride was on the way, but we all still should've waited with the kid - but no food from 9-2 plus it was mad snowing, plus everyone had ditched me and I just wanted to leave...I just wasn't thinking).

Not excited for this whole week.

no one picking up a damn call. today has been a day from hell and i just wish i didnt have to go back home and be out of my parents house already.

I'm off work today but DH isn't so I've been up since his alarm went off at 7:30. Since I normally wake up at 5:30 on work days, this was technically sleeping in for me. I plan on going grocery shopping soon and cleaning the bathroom after I get back. I'll probably go to the gym later this afternoon too. I was going to go this morning but, I decided to drink coffee and catch up on my DVR. Now I need to think of something for dinner.

slothieguy is a big goober and JUST realized that he doesn't have work today. Right now we're just having some coffee and watching TV; there was talk about us going to the zoo later this afternoon (we live two blocks away and there's a new baby giraffe!).

It's also our dating anniversary (which I had completely forgotten about this morning; somehow H remembered), so I think we're going to try and make a fancy dinner tonight. We have a rack of lamb in the freezer that's been tempting us....

I visited my cat at the vet's, going to go shopping here in a bit, then I have a therapist's appt at 4. Not a bad day at all.

i use to work at the local zoo in my town and man do i miss working there. i let my membership lapse so i have to renew it. some days i wish i could go back but it be a pay cut galore.

DH is off because it's Monday, not because of the holiday. He went skiing. Apparently Snowmass got snow even though we didn't just 8 miles away. Well they also have 4000 feet on us too.

Later DH is making tacos for dinner. I love his tacos.

Work is really slow. Part being a holiday, part it's Mardi Gras. So I'm doing some email house cleaning. I monitor 6 different email accounts. My main 2 are in good shape. The other 4, yeah. I'm apparently an email hoarder on those. I look at the account everyday, but most of the emails are just cc's from emails we send out from our reservation system. Good enough to keep until the reservation as passed, but not something to keep forever. Well it's clear I don't go back and delete after the reservation date has passed. I've have a shit ton dating back to Jan 2012.

I went out and got some noxious chemicals to clean our bathtub. We do have some soap scum around the bottom since I haven't been motivated to clean in a month, BUT I'm apparently reaching the end of where I can safely clean. The previous tenants must not have done a good job cleaning because the tub is painted over... and I've worn off the paint. Now there's all this grey staining and I can't get rid of it. Ugh. Happy Monday.

Magic Eraser bathroom scrubbers. Game changer for removing soap scum. I tried every gentle and noxious chemical I could find on my shower, but that is the one thing that always works.

I am enjoying my second "snow" day. It rained a bit, lol.

Magic Eraser bathroom scrubbers. Game changer for removing soap scum. I tried every gentle and noxious chemical I could find on my shower, but that is the one thing that always works.

I use those too! The biggest problem is that after you use each one for a while, they start to pill... and those stupid little bits then clog the drain when I have to rinse. I use a catch thing in the drain but sometimes there's so many that they don't all fit. Plus, they don't clean the stains that were under the paint, and that's the real ewwy stuff.

So I"m super-afraid to see this vet bill, but my kitty gets to come home Thursday! That will be almost a full week of hospitalization, with fluids and meds. The vet has no idea why she was so sick, but suspects it was a kidney infection that somehow spread into her brain and caused neurological issues (she was completely blind there for a bit). Finally she's better, and the vet wants to keep her on antibiotics tomorrow, then repeat blood tests thursday, then she's free to come home! I'm so glad, I've never seen her that sick before.

Good thing tax return monies are easy come, easy go! LOL
