1 v 2 photographers

Does anyone have any opinions on 1 vs. 2 photographers?  Some of the packages I have been looking at allow you to add a second photographer for a substantially reduced fee.  Is the result just more pictures or does the second photographer really capture moments or pictures that a single photographer physically could not?

Re: 1 v 2 photographers

  • I have a family member who does photography, and I'm having her as my main photographer. I also have a friend of the family who is just starting out in photography so we are letting her get practice at our wedding. Our wedding party is small, but I'm not sure where to have each of the ladies photograph. I was planning on having one with me while I'm getting ready and one shooting my friends setting up the reception site then my fiance when he is getting ready. Do I have both photographers taking pictures at the ceremony, between the ceremony with all the people in out party and family, and the reception? How do I position them out without them getting in each other's way or making the other feel interfered with?
