I dunno how much this really counts as DIY since I technically didn't make any of it, but I did all the work so I count it.

Everything came from Dollar Tree except the sticks and the food coloring; the sticks I cut off of a tree in our backyard for the test run, and I already had the food coloring from a cake I made a couple weeks ago.
Total cost per centerpiece: $6.31 including tax (used 1/2 of a container of floral gem things; used 1/4 of a pack of tea lights)
The silver frame is there to act as place card type thing. It's not included in the centerpiece itself. I'm still debating it. Silver is one of our colors, but I'm debating the overdoneness of frames as place cards.
Fingers crossed for picture attachment.
Thoughts?
Re: Thoughts on a centerpiece idea
The only "issue" I see is the tea lights. I know that mine can usually last for around 3 or so hours before they burn out. If your reception is longer than that you either have to make sure someone is around to light them just before the guests arrive or buy the long burn ones. I see that some of them are floating so I am not sure if the long burn ones float.
Just my thoughts, I think this is a classic design and it is in my favoriate color too!
Yep, I figured it was just me since not-me people are managing to find them. Gotta love TK forum "quirks" haha.
What's really nice is that people will be able to see over and through the sticks to talk to people on the other side of the table instead of leaning. That's always a pet peeve of mine.
