Oh, another thing I thought of to get calories in her... Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR).  They sell it at pet stores.  It's for kittens who had to be weened to early, but its super high in calories and basic kitty nutrients.  I have friend who fosters cats who also swears by keifer (sp?) for putting weight on the cats she cares for from the shelter.  It's good for their digestive systems too and can be found in the grocery store refrigerated section.

    Edit - I can't spell today

Yes -- I was going to say this. The kind that is liquid is better than the powder (in terms of texture). My cat really likes this stuff so it may tempt the cat to eat or if not it would be easy to squirt in her mouth, get some liquids in and also some nutrition. It could also be used to make a slurry out of the wet food instead of water. Good luck!

Kefir?!  Oh no, don't bring Kefir up. . . or Kumis.  You'll get told that someone feels sorry for your husband.

Thank you for this info, though.  My Smoosh cat feels a bit too lean for my liking- vet says he's fine- but I'd like to put a tiny bit more weight on him.  I'll see if he likes the dreaded Kefir.

@mobride2015 How is your cat doing today?

She still refuses to eat anything on her own.  I've left a different variety of foods in her pen overnights with her, and it'll still be there in the morning.  She's definitely drinking water on her own, and I'm able to get some wet food still in her mixed with her meds via the syringe.  I think I will call the vet's tomorrow and see what her thoughts are, to see if there's any kind of shot she might want to give her, or if this is possibly only going to be a problem while she's on the antibiotics.  it's frustrating, but she seems to be alert and interested in things going on around her, and she licked my hand yesterday when I petted her like she does when she's "normal", and she purrs when petted as well.  Plus she's doing a bit of grooming to get the food off of her face, but not so much grooming on the rest of her yet.
