No they don't. Most little girls aren't that vapid. Also, most grown women who are old enough to get married understand the difference between a real wedding and play pretend.

But then again, most women who are old enough to get married are able to express an opinion without resorting to name calling.

If there was any value to adding a bunch more spotlight dances to a wedding, people would have done it by now. They don't, because even the bare minimum of traditional dances is boring to guests. Grown ups who've gotten beyond the vapid dreams of children realize that a reception is for the guests, and try not to bore them unnecessarily.
