help! dori gown + flower crown?

So I need some advice! I have always pictured myself as more a boho relaxed bride but I fell in love with the Hayley Paige Dori gown and it's absolutely the one. However, I've always always wanted to do some type of floral headpiece or crown (something like this http://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/static.brit.co/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/jess-jackson-queensland-wedding-photographer8.jpg). When I look at images of flower crowns most dresses that accompany them a lot more simple, hence the more "boho" look.. and my sister says there's no way I can get away with a headpiece without it competing with the dress.

SO! I know it's ultimately up to me and what makes me happy but I want to know if you think it can be done or if I gotta let the headpiece go.

I think it clashes. The dress just doesn't go with that boho vibe. You could probably get away with doing a single flower in your hair but I just can't see a flower crown.

I agree, they don't go very well together. Maybe more of a headband like this?

Yeah, that flower headband does not go in anyway with that dress.

Maybe something like Lolo posted or maybe

You can still do a floral motif, it just needs to be a little more glam.

And as dramatic as your skirt is, I'd opt for something on the subtle side. (not that my examples are necessarily subtle)

Thanks for the feedback, I probably won't do any headband because although those suggestions would work they're just not really me. I think I'm going to wear my hair pretty relaxed to balance out the structured feel of the dress.

I agree with PP; you can't really go full-on boho flower crown with that dress. I like the stuff on the site Twigs and Honey because it's the perfect mix of glam with a little tinge of boho. Something like that, that's a little more subtle, I think would be good. It would still give you the relaxed boho vibe but mesh better with the dress. Here's some examples:

I saw this dress modeled at a fashion show done by the place I bought my dress. The model had a hairpiece similar to the 2nd one down that @novella1186 posted. Looked fantastic. I say go with something along those lines, or any dainty crown or headpiece from anthropologie or etsy. Check etsy, their prices are reasonable and quality is great, from what I have heard.

IF you choose the right seller, and that's a big if. Etsy is a total crap shoot lately, and full of junk.

@doeydo where did you find these pictures?! Ok so i don't feel so crazy for wanting a flower crown when I see those pictures, because I think with the hair and the way its styled it doesn't look ridiculous at all. I wouldn't do a crown that large either. Hmm. Thank you for posting these links!
