Re: NWR: The "I am not a taxi service" rant.

  • Props to you for putting up with these driving shenanigans. By now, I'd probably be like 'Nope, not driving you anymore. here's the bus schedule.' and stop babying him. I have a pretty low tolerance for that sort of stuff though. A grown man can figure this out =\

  • I would be so pissed off about all of this.

Honestly? If it were me, I'd tell him ahead of time that I am going to do X thing tomorrow morning, so he has to figure out alternate transportation. Then do it. Don't let him wake you up and ask you to drive him like your mommy. Be gone already, and let him fend for himself.

Agree with others that if you're doing the "how much booze is in my house tonight and will it be okay?" dance, then that's a little troubling. But you know your H, and if he's just a partier during vacay but gets it together at work, then you'll know what's up once his job starts.

But the driving boundaries can start now. I recommend starting a daily exercise routine (or something, whatever floats your boat) that forces you to take the car out at 8 am every morning...

  • Thank you @katieinbkln and @teddygirl9

I'm still trying to work out sleep patterns after the trips, and I think that it may be best to end up becoming a bit nocturnal anyway with the sun and heat here, and having a really flexible schedule, but we'll see about that.  I think the dog would appreciate an 8am walk.

I mean, it's very obvious to me that your dog will appreciate--nay, REQUIRE!--a drive out to the nearest dog park at that hour of the morning every day. ;)

  • Tell him to stop being a shitbaby and figure his own shit out like an adult.
  • @ashley8918 I really should.  However, he's been pretty good around the house since I posted this, so maybe that's the trade off we make.  Although I've told him that in the future he has to ask, and it's a flat out no if it's inconveniencing for me.
