  • On the jeans front, I think it kind of depends on where you're from. I live in Alaska and we tend to be a pretty casual bunch. I was in court a few weeks ago for work and the public defender was wearing medium wash jeans, heeled boots, a nice top and a nice jacket.

I pretty much always wear jeans and when H and I go out, I usually wear dark jeans, a nice top and either heels or Danskos. That to me is dressy enough for many things, if not most things.
  • we had our rehearsal dinner at a casual restaurant.  We sent an evite.  No one over dressed or under dressed.  everyone looked comfortable and nice that suited the way a person usually looks like when they go out in public to dinner.  Most of the girls wore a dress (myself included), because who does not like an excuse to wear a dress!?  My H wore jeans and a nice shirt as did the majority of the guys.  Adults know how to dress appropriate and most people know a rehearsal dinner is not usually "formal." Especially with an evite at a local restaurant.

Me.  I don't really care for dresses so I rarely wear them.

Agree. Just because I have a vagina doesn't mean I enjoy getting dressed up.

Oh I love getting dressed up, dolled up, and going out!  But I don't typically wear dresses when I go out.  I usually only wear them to weddings.

It's because I'm self conscious about my spider veins.  I should either get them taken care of or just get over myself.
