  • That's just weird.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Just reminds me of The Fountain (great movie IMO, spoiler alert**) when Hugh Jackman drinks from the tree of life and flowers pop up everywhere.

  • I just told my sister her bridesmaid job was to find me these.

    She was like:

  • I got really creeped out by these! They look like scary human-eating carnivore plants from a scifi movie

  • Am I the only one who is annoyed that each side didn't deploy evenly?

    Nope.  Bothered me too.

EXACTLY my first thought when they started popping up.

  • Something about it seems really childish to me.... I'm not a fan. If I saw this at a wedding, I think I'd either be confused or start laughing hysterically.

  • Not gunna lie. My first instinct was"that's cheesy as fuck- but I like it!"

  • My first though was that the blow-up tube system was like the blow-up bumpers at the bowling alley I went to as a kid. Not the most romantic thing to spring to mind.

Also, if I saw this at a wedding, I'd probably have to leave the room because I'd be holding my laughter in so hard I would be crying. Also, I wouldn't be able to look DH in the eyes the rest of the night, or we would both start laughing hysterically.

  • @allispain I loves me that kitty!!

  • They didn't deploy evenly, so that that couple get a do-over? Not legitimate.

But seriously that freaks me out. Knowing me I'd be paranoid one would over-inflate, explode, and kill us both.

I'm really jumpy-- just a weird quirck I guess-- and I would probably jump every single time one opened. So I would look like a total moron walking down that aisle lol

    Uh, hell to the no.

Also, is this a clip from a real wedding? Because if so, that bitch seriously spent who knows how much money on her blow-up flower aisle, BUT NOT FOR CHAIRS FOR HER GUESTS?
  • Damn it, you all beat me to the Audrey II reference. Whatever they offer you, don't feed the plants.

    I second this.
I would start laughing hysterically at the sheer weirdness. Without question.  And when one person starts loses it, others follow.
This could potentially be the greatest scene of laughing guests since the Great Peacock Attack of 1974.
  • I'm of two minds. I love it, in that I love that this clip exists and I can watch it and clap my hands in delight, and I hate it, in that I would never in a million years get it for my own wedding because WTF?

  • Someone posted that video on my Facebook wall. It's an interesting effect, but maybe not  for the aisle. Perhaps a scaled down version of it at the reception?
